Fwiw, mine went through as "MP15".

For the record everything worked fine using Firefox. I had the problem using MS Edge.

Was it also "MP15" on your DROS form?

How easy was it to remove the fake suppressor on the Scorpion?
I did more research, it looks like the fake suppressor just covers the 16" barrel. So in case they ask for it to be removed, I would like to know and how to do it?

How did DOJ inform you that they wanted the fake suppressor off? Via email directly, postal letter, or do you have to log in to the system and look for a prompt?

          Thank you!

Yes. But I also vaguely recall the CFARS website rejecting a couple variations when clicking the proceed button, before "MP15" worked.

Ever since I paid my $5 each to register. Someone in New York has been committing fraud with the debit card I used to pay CA DOJ. Their payment security on their website must be total crap.
CA DOJ did get their funds at least. Had to turn off card today.

I received an incomplete submission and they are requesting a change. However, when I attempt to make the change there is no update button and it reads "This record is currently being viewed." up top in red. I've read somewhere of this happening but I can't seem to find it again and what the outcome was.

                Any tips?

"MP-15" seems to have work for me. I don't have an actual letter in hand, but I received the "Submission Confirmation Notice" email.

Just wait it out. It means someone on the other end has it open still, it can stay that way for a few hours.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Here is update on my previous attempt to unlock applications for corrections.

Issue: (Assault Weapon Reg.) Other, my issue is not listed. Submitted: 06/04/2018 11:50 AM
CoolSpot said (initial issue report): Hello! I made couple errors in my submissions # 2222200852944XXX and 2222200852944XXX Could you please let me correct these? Thank you!
DOJ Response (06/01/2018 09:25 AM): Mr. CoolSpot, your applications are currently under review. When your applications are done being reviewed you will be notified via email of any updates needed. At this time you will be able to make the changes you specified above as well as any changes specified by the DOJ representative reviewing your applications.
CoolSpot said (06/04/2018 11:50 AM): Unfortunately review didn't occur yet. I have made mistakes checking features my rifle(s) have, marking that they have forward grip and not having pistol grip which is actually other way around. Also for 2222200852944XXX I marked that it is self-built, but now my understanding that it applies only to 80% lowers built into a firearm, which is not what I have done. Please unlock the application, so I can make changes before review to save trouble of extra back and forth. Thank you!
DOJ Response (06/05/2018 09:13 AM): Mr. CoolSpot, when your applications are marked as incomplete you will be able to make changes to your applications as needed. As we are receiving a very high volume of applications we do not have a timeframe as to when the review process will be completed. Your patience during this process is greatly appreciated.
They don't unlock my applications no matter what. =(

Thanks, I was just able to submit it. And thanks for starting this extremely helpful thread and guide.

They don't unlock my applications no matter what. =(
I was in a similar situation to yours. I needed to make a minor update, I opened an issue, they gave the same response.

Just wait it out and they will eventually send you an Incomplete notice and will unlock your app for you to make the update.

The laws regarding pistol builds in 2016 are a fuzzy gray area, nobody seems to really be sure whether or not we could legally convert them to semi-auto. So be aware that registering it might be risky. Honestly if it were me, I wouldn't.

If you had built it back in like 2013 or something, when the laws were different, that would be another story.

Has anyone gotten a successful registration back from a 2016 build?

That happens a lot. Just change the model to M4 carbine so they can process it and move on. Once you make that change you'll probably get your email approval later today or tomorrow.
