    Archery shop in San Diego?

Where are you guys taking your equipment for tuning, etc? I am willing to drive up the coast if necessary, but would like to find a great place here locally.

I am looking to shorten a few shafts among other things.

I don't know anything about archery, but this place is near my house in Mira Mesa and I have driven by it many times. I have a friend who is a prior Marine and an archery fanatic. He says it is a good place to go...

Yup, Performance Archery would be the place to go.

Performance is where I get all my stuff done. Never been disappointed. Bruce in Lakeside (I forgot the shop name) also comes extremely highly recommended. Probably cant go wrong with either.

Best way to shorten the shaft is to go swimming in cold water.

              Bow and Arrow Shop.

Be advised, both shops are iffy for Trad gear. They mainly do compounds.

This would be for a compound bow.

Thanks guys for the input and its good to know there are great options locally.

Strong vote for Bow and Arrow Shop.. and big thumbs down for Performance Archery. Based on my experience, both shopping and getting equipment tuned up, I've found the guys at the Bow and Arrow Shop way more customer friendly, and competent. I gave up on Performance Archery after visiting 3 times and having to BEG someone to please help me each time.

                      All three are good

Bow & Arrow shop is a bowtech rep & performance is a Mathews rep. They both carry the other lines too. Performance, Bob is a smart *** but so am I......he does have the best indoor range out of the three.

                        MJB,

Thanks for the info. The bow in question is a Bowtech RPM 360 so I will likely pay Bow & Arrow a visit.

+1 for Bow and Arrow Shop.

I went there for my first compound bow setup when I used to live in San Diego, and they were incredibly helpful and patient with someone just starting out. I would imagine they would be just as attentive to more experienced archers.
