I have some extra parts as well.
I just checked my parts bin and no luck, posting here (vs PM) just in case someone else might have spare parts for jfifer.

How do you know the appropriate link length and barrel timing in laymens terms??

I don't think there is a laymans term for that. Barrel timing is one of the more precise and technical portions of the 1911.

Dang... I ask because I want to build my KTO to a competition level over the next year, and I bought a meaty extended threaded barrel for a gunsmith fit. I have a lathe but no experience barrel fitting...

I have a RIA mag i am thinking of filling with epoxy to convert to a sled. If somebody wants to help out with a 7" barrel, we can package them together and pass them around to the ares builders for SSE

                              Fifer,

I finaly found an inexpensive 7" showing in stock:

I would have ordered it already, but after the dishwasher leak a few months ago that warped the floor put in in Jan. after my spine surgery leading to a kitchen remodel, the Baby last month, and getting home from the hospital to find the bathroom sink rotted out leading to a bathroom remodel presently in process (and my Wife STILL being pissed about the guns in the first place...) I have had to pass up quite a few smokin deals on things.

I am more than happy to chip in at a future date as I want to have pics with the long barrel as proof if ever questioned, but tapped at the moment.
                              zymurgy:
a branch of applied chemistry that studies fermentation processes, as in brewing.
