I'm no expert of any kind, but I didn't know that rifle powder could be 'position sensitive'.
Do the Bench rest guys report that this is seriously bad. I'm not a good enough shot (yet? I can hope to be, eh))
to be able to discern effects of the primer hole irregularities.

If you're scavenging someone else's discards, while saying you don't want to make plinker ammo, you're not making a whole lot of rational thought.

I'm thinking you won't notice any difference....

.I am processing some of the thousands of .223 that I have saved over the years after successfully loading .38 specials for the first time. I too found some Perfecta head stamp brass with off center flash holes; I had no trouble removing the primers. I also found some 5.56 with the head stamp PIN C8 with undersize flash hole. My decapping pin worked but my pilot pin is too big to fit in the flash hole to trim to length. I would post a picture, but I don't know how with my limited computer skills.

If you've got a metal recycler near you, brass is worth decent enough I keep it. Once I have a couple 5 gallon buckets full of bad brass, loose primer brass, split brass, spent primers, and 22 casings that wound up in it, it's worth driving to town for.

It can be hard to find a place that will take it, but if you're within reasonable distance to one, it may be worth it. If you have to drive an hour or three to get fifty bucks it ain't worth it anymore. The less common stuff is probably worth collecting and sorting and selling, if you've got the spare time. Stuff like 32-20 and 25-20, if found, would likely be snatched up by people like me that shoot oddball stuff.

Seriously wondering how they punch or drill the hole so for off center??

Why'd he delete a bunch of his posts?

Probably because a lot of his posts were contradictory...Talks about focusing on accuracy/precision and his history of "deals" on Winchester 62gr FMJ's (serious plinking accuracy, right?), range pickup brass, Lil' Dandy powder measures didn't exactly jive.....

Nothing wrong with plinking ammo, just be honest.
