RCBS Swager - 556, should have done it earlier

For the past 10 years I've been reloading 556 cases with extreme care and only using enough force to load a primer in without popping them. 2 in 10 years is not bad but still. And now I am shooting my AR more, did the research and got the RCBS and it fit into my Lee turret just fine. I have to use a flathead to pop them out but loading a new primer into the pockets is now heaven. Productivity increased, stress down.

I would use them for my 7.62 but the magtech ones don't seem to be crimped that much and goes in easily. Always an option if I get a batch that's tight.

If you like the RCBS swager you will love the Dillon and it does 30 cal also.
I had the RCBS unit and sold it after getting the Dillon Super Swager
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I have the RCBS swager and it gets the job done. Actually I suppose I could sell mine since I now have a lifetime's worth of .223 brass swaged.

        CH4d Primer Pocket Swager

Vid uses a Coaxial, but th CH4D will work with the 'O' frame presses just fine.

Had the RCBS swager. Went with the Dillon 600, got rid of the RCBS, no looking back.

Glad you like it, but there is much better out there. My biggest gripe with RCBS is that the brass sticks to the swager like crazy. I had one and couldn't get used to it. Dillon doesn't have that. Supposedly the Mighty Armory swager doesn't either.

If I had to start over I guess I would with Dillon but I almost always go super cheap first. Got stuck with the Lee 4 Turret and like 10 turrets.

I have the RCBS and the Dillon. The RCBS unit sticks and I have to exert a lot of energy to release the case. The Dillon is ok, but still takes a lot of time to do 1000 cases.

This is what I use now. Works mas bueno.

Been using a reamer for over 20 years adapted to a drill only takes a quick hit.Every shooting trip i end up with once fired brass from our group so i just separate it and i have alot of twice fired that i will reload about 4 times.

I can not understand why Reloaders ream the primer pocket, maybe once
in a while one or two so as not to upset production.

There is no way those primer pockets come out with any uniformity by reaming alone.
