Let us know how that works out. The only issue I have with the smaller one I have is the tray is to small to hold rifle charges. So I end up setting my tray from my beam scale on the try. The bigger one looks like it will be easier to use. Plus the AC adapter is cool.

I take my Lyman Powder Funnel Pan and place it on the tray... Have no issues with 44 mag anyways.

I have used the scale from the original post for about six months. I bought it as a quick check for my RCBS AutoCharge or whatever they call it. The scale works great. I run it on batteries without any big issues. The RCBS scale reads about 0.05 grains lower than the AWS scale, but they are both very consistent.

It is a little small, and I don't know if it would stand up to a lot of continuous use, but it did what I bought it for. If you are thinking about weighing a lot of brass and bullets, you might want a more robust device.

I recently bought some check weights, and I think they provide a near-perfect check for your primary scale, with little or no possibility of malfunction. They take up no space are quick to use.

Good to know! I will use the scale mostly for measuring powder for rifle charges and verifying drops for pistol powder charges. With bullets I usually just grab a small handful out of a new batch and weigh them to make sure they are proper and if they all are, I don't worry about it and load 'em up (unless one looks different from the others, then that will get inspected and tossed if necessary).

Well, here's an update. I bought and received the scale but it was defective. It wouldn't turn on whatsoever with the AC adapter plugged into it and the adapter didn't even have to be plugged into a wall. As soon as it would go into the back of the scale, it would turn off and not come back on no matter what until it was unplugged. Tried it with and without batteries in the scale. And the scale wouldn't return to zero after being calibrated and tared.

So, giving them the benefit of the doubt and knowing that no company is 100%, I sent it back for a replacement. I want to try one that works before passing final judgement, but if the replacement comes back defective or they try to pass the one off that I bought as good, I'll pressure them for a refund and go with the GemPro scale.

                +1 on the GemPro 250

You have to spend a great deal of money to actually get a better scale after that one to consider it an upgrade.

I bought mine from these guys...

Also... its smart to own some check weights even if it an entry level Class M2 set...

Yeah if the replacement turns out to be a defective or inaccurate unit as well, that's the way I'm gonna go. I just decided to give them a shot because they have a good reputation and the price.
