Yeah I think you need to have at least 6 months before you can end a thread

Curious how informing the owner ruins it for everyone?? Sounds like OP was not the first to complain AND sounds like the owner had asked the Bad Guys not to point the guns at the people on the ride. Not sure how that ruins it OR even takes away from the experience of the ride.

Do we think the average 8yr old or 11yr old is going to get out of the stage coach ride and say "Grandpa that ride was lame. Those guys didn't point that nonfunctioning gun in my face. I want my money back". Of course not.
They are gonna go "Grandpa can we do it again, can we, can we, can we"
It's not like OP got up and started shouting "STOP THE SHOW. STOP THE DANG SHOW. THIS HAS TO STOP NOW!".
He simply brought it up to the operator (as several others before him had done) and went on to buy cotton candy.

You guys make it sound like he's some teacher kicking a kid out of class for a pop tart shaped gun.

Can't be Lonestar. One is a movie where you are sitting in a theater months or years after the scene, the other is a Grandfather responsible for the safety of his grandkids on a park ride with dudes with guns. Now granted the guns were probably perfectly safe, but still it is real life vs the movies.

As someone who has taken young kids who where not my own on outings, I tend to be overly sensitive and overly safe. For my own kids I can bend and break them all I want, but for other people's kids, I'm way way paranoid when it comes to playing it super safe.

" He simply brought it up to the operator (as several others before him had done)"
So we can lump the op in with all the other anti gun kool aid drinkers that had hurt feelers over a reenactment of a robbery

In the op he asked for opinions, now wants to argue over the majority not agreeing

At a gun range, when the range goes cold and you go down range to place your targets, you are standing in front of all of those guns that are on the benches that are also pointing downrange.

When people are carrying, either CC or OC, their firearm is sweeping others as they move, walk, sit down, stand up, etc.

Yes, it is a teachable moment for your grandsons. Mostly it was just more PC nonsense that is shutting down more of these attractions.

Just because the person you spoke with seemed to take you concern seriously does not mean that was the case. One of the first things that many who deal with the public learn is how to sound like you are taking the concern seriously while you know it is just BS and you are just trying to get the concerned party to go away ASAP.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

When we start using the "it's for the children" on ourselves it is not good.

This is why we can't have nice things.

The one thing I don't understand about some of the posts is that this thread clearly seems to irritate some of the responders. If that applies to you, why do you keep clicking on it, that makes no sense? Are you masochists at heart? If you are bothered by this subject, just go away, don't click on it anymore, and leave this thread to those who wish to discuss the issue without being bent out of shape by the conversation.
