    uxo2,

So with the Catch 22, you can use the 15-22 Mags AND the CMMG/BlackDog style mags and they both work with LRHO?

Sorry I am not understanding you well. Going to try to spell it out to see if I can get it better.

    I have

    15-22 Mags
    CMMG Mags
    Blackdog Mags

    If I'm building an AR15, 22LR upper with a standard AR15 lower, I can
Insert the CMMG Mags and Blackdog Mags. I never tried the 15-22 Magazines to see if they work.

I don't recall if BHO and LBHO works in this configuration or not.

If I'm adding in the Catch 22. How does it change things? Am I able to now insert CMMG, Blackdog, and 15-22's? Do they all work for BHO and LBHO.

Thanks for the help and great quote on the bottom. Patton is the man.

Correct, with a Better-Mag adapter a standard mil spec magazine release lever is all you need. Highly recommend the system, works great.

Forget the Catch 22, its unreliable and DOES NOT work with M&P15-22 mags.

The Better-Mag adapter ONLY works with M&P15-22 mags, but you can take it out easily and use BDM mags(of course you lose the bolt release function).

Get the Better-Mag adapter and invest in M&P15-22 mags. It is by far the best system for CMMG dedicated ARs. Not only is the bolt release function 100 percent reliable, M&P15-22 mags are better than BDM, IMO. Easier to load as well, makes a big difference in high volume shooting sessions. Also factory 10-25 blocked mags readily available.

          No, I don't work for Better-mag.

+1. This is a great combo for someone who wants to replicate exact feel/operation of a true AR15 on a rimfire platform..

cmmg upper, Better-mag adapter, standard ar15 lower and Mp15-22 mags. Very reliable. I even use the Magpul BAD lever with it.

YES But only 15/22s work for the LRHO
              .

BD mags there is no LRHO..
Just like regular BD mags. BHO only

              I have

              15-22 Mags - LRHO-

              BHO only
              CMMG Mags
              Blackdog Mags

YES all 3 work but only the 15/22s will work as a LRBHO.

The only thing is you need a cheap shim on 15/22 mags.

Are stating a fact or opinion
I Have never had any issues with the Catch22 acting as
a LRBHO when using 15/22 mags.
              and niether has

              and another plus for catch22.
If you have preban ciener mags ""over 10rnds"
You can use them as such unlike 10rnd 15/22 mags

Get a TACCOM upper... light, extremely reliable, stupidly accurate.

I own a lot of dedicated uppers and my Taccom is still what i go to every time.

                  NorCalDustin,
Have you tried Better-Mag with the Taccom upper? I want to know if it works on those uppers.

No i haven't... The S&W 15-22 mag is one of the few that do not work out of the box with most standard uppers... While the Better mag should work fine, i just haven't had the need since there are so many other magazines available.
