Notice most flash hiders have an exit hole considerably larger than the bore diameter?

The SVT40 does not- looks very much like an AK muzzle brake, or Hakim brake to me. If the exit hole is close to bore diameter, the gases will be forced up, reducing recoil and enhancing flash & noise!

Looks like a SKS on steoroids. Whats the big deal about them? Rare or super accurate or ??? Sorry Ive seen a few and shot one but I don't know much about them. Chambered for 7.62x54? That's gotta kick like a freaking mule.

Rarer WW2 rifle. Historical value, FUN to shoot. The recoil is actually quite light for the caliber- a fellow at Burro was kind enough to let me fire off a mag a few years ago.
