    Vltor EMOD or IMOD

Hey guys.. was wondering if any of you have experience with both stocks.

I'm finishing up an SPR type build that will be scoped.

I read somewhere that the EMOD clubfoot gives you some advantage when shooting prone vs an IMOD or other standard stock?

Anyone find this to be true? I can't figure out how it would make a difference when the rifle is on a bipod since the stock will be on my shoulder. (I use a standard Larue mount as i don't have my nose to the charging handle... but rather an little bit behind it where i can proper cheek weld.)

All of my ARs currently are SOPMOD or Magpul MOE/CTR... going with Vltor for the sake of doing something different.

For a SPR, I would go with the EMOD.

      e-mod stock

I like the e-mod stock feels more comfortable.

But don't they feel the same in terms of cheek weld? Or rather... aren't they exactly the same from that standpoint?

Same feel. Like others posted I would go with the EMOD for a SPR build. The EMOD will give you a bit more stock to get you face on and it balances out the look with a 18" barrel. We have the milspec EMOD and IMOD in black in stock if you need one.

I'm guessing because of the extra weight to create better balance with the heavier front end?

The cheek weld is awesome. Also the MAGPUL ACS is also very nice. Still I prefer the EMOD.

i like this stock on my ar. interesting check weld that says "put an optic on me!!"

                      soon my pretty, soon

i also added the extra long rubber pad. not for felt recoil but for its slope. fits the slightly high in the pocket that feels good to me and gives the stock a little more length

Between the two, the cheek weld should be exactly the same. The EMOD is a tad heavier and has more storage room than the IMOD.

The clubfoot design is just supposed to give you a better handle on the stock with your off-hand when in a prone/bipod-deployed position, here's a pick of the intended use of the design with a standard stock

I think I would go with a Telecaster. The bolt on neck would be the strongest to deal with terrorist zombies. I know most folks will say Strat, but I think the trem system is unreliable.
I mean, who needs to dive bomb when SHTF? That only happens in movies.
