Colt AR-15 rifles- Legal in California or not?

Im confused as to whether or not Colt AR-15 rifles, specifically the LE6920 and any Colt 6920, are legal to own in California. Can you buy one PPT and posses it legally. Would a maglock be sufficient to keep it legal. A well known gun store sells them new with AR Mag locks installed. To add confusion, the "flow chart" has Colt listed in appendix "A" and "B". Guys please chime in. Thanks!

Model is 6920, receiver says M4. GTG my friend.

If the Colt 6920 is marked "Law Enforcement Carbine", then it considered make/model banned and nothing can be done to make it CA legal.

Allowing for the occasional mistake, if you can buy such a thing in a CA gun store, it's legal. Selling illegal configurations would bring about Many Bad Legal Problems.

Colt M4 Carbine is (was?) CA legal when I bought 2 of them in Nov/Dec 2013.
I have since made both featureless therefore they are no longer 'assault weapons'. I'm pretty sure they are identical to the LE6920; Colt just changed the rollmark (probably as a middle finger gesture to CA), thereby excluding them from the list.

Anyway, I got 'em and I'm keeping them. They are fully mil-spec examples of the platform. If you have a chance to acquire one, do it.

Same answer. The gunshop that is doing the transfer won't do it if the gun is not legal.

As the others have said, Colt released several CA legal models a couple years ago.

I purchased one. Love it. My favorite AR. What makes it my favorite? See that Pony on the side of it and the word COLT?

Here is my CA legal Colt 6920. I changed out the upper with a Colt OEM-2 upper. I like it so much I bought a second Colt OEM-2 upper to go on one of my non-Colt lowers.

What handguard did you use? I have an OEM 6920 and looking for the right handguard. The leading contender is the TacStar carbon fiber, but they aren't out in retail yet.

Question, not a challenge. Looks like it has 3 evil features, telescoping stock, pistol grip, birdcage flashider. Would have been legal when purchased (if prior to 1/1/14 and equipped with bullet button) but not now, correct?

My understanding is that it must not have any of the aforementioned evil features, or if it does, it must not have a detachable magazine in order to NOT be a prohibited 'assault weapon'.

What if it’s marked model SP-1? Wasn’t the Colt series thing tossed?

OP a photo of the roll mark on the receiver would make it easy to determine if it's legal or one of the banned types.

So what does a fixed-mag AR look like, externally, that is different than a detachable mag arrangement, esp considering we are looking at a dark blurry picture.

You can't visually identify a fixed mag AR as far as I know, it relates to function.
You can easily identify a featureless AR, it relates to looks.
