There is no deal.. You get what you pay for, Like everything else in life.

The extra cash one spends (MSRP $729.00) buying it paid for the Glock 19 RTF2 Gen 3 ($549?) WC/VT sights ($45.95 Front & $49.95 Back), TD/VT slide stop ($19.95), TD/VT extended mag release ($16.92) and TD/VT magazine floor plates (2 x $21.50 Each = $43.00) = $724.77 Pricing as shown on manufacturer's website without tax, shipping, SSE, DROS not included.

Having that said, I got the so called "Vickers Tactical Glock 19" only because I love the RTF2 grip. Besides it being ready to shoot out of the box, I don't have to deal with stippling jobs or having to use grip tape to make it work for me. SSE ending this year made the decision easy for me when it showed up so I didn't really mind paying extra for it.

I do think that this "Limited Edition"run is a good shared marketing partnership for a product launch between Glock, Vickers Tactical, Wilson Combat, Tango Down and Lipseys.

        LAV 0 - 2500 (17's) + LAV 2500 - 5000 (19's) = 5000 Units x $729 MSRP Each = $3,645,00.00 Or less. Not a bad day at the office right?

I did noticed the quality of the "Parkerized" finish on slide is poor(Scratches easily) and leaves much to desire the old "Tenifer" finishing.

No worries though, I see custom slide replacements and RMR's for 2015.

Yeah all new Glocks have that weaker finish. I'd of got one if I had a slot left.

I believed most of these types would probably disappear from the particular drawers considering the yr finish due date.

So the Glock 19 Gen 3 is not on the list of approved handguns?

The Glock 19 Gen 3 is on the roster...the Lipsey's Vicker's Glock 19 RTF2 Gen 3 is not on the roster.

Vickers Tactical Glock 19 RTF2 is built on a Gen 3 frame but not on roster so it will need to be SSE. The regular Glock 19 Gen 3 is still current on roster and available for purchase.

Not sure. I haven't considered painting it. Maybe someone who has experience with painting will chime in.

What do you want to paint FDE? The VT Glock 19 slide? The regular Glock 19 Gen 3 frame? Slide? Both?

I bought one of each. Got the 17 first and fell in love so the 19 is taking my December slot.

They're the only gen 3 glocks I'll own. The RTF frame is amazing, much better than the gen 4 in my opinion.
