I am hearing that SIG has ceased production of the CA compliant P226 9mm. Has anyone else come across this information from credible sources ?

CA SIG P226

As long as there's a market to sell enough volume of the CA P226, Sig would likely not discontinue...
I've not heard of any rumors to discontinue and since Sig is still producing other versions of the P226, it's not like the CA version is the sole remaining model...
If you've been thinking of getting one, then just get one...Updated UserID - formerly TheFlash👍 1 -
Stay away from Californicated P226
Be patient and seek the un-CA P226.
All German P226 - Best
German / US P226 - OK
All US P226 - OK👍 2Comment

My FFL said they discontinued the standard california p226 model. He told me that late last year.
I think what that means is it is no longer in their rotation of production. I would imagine they'll bring it back in a year or two.Comment

CA P226 doesn't look great, but I'm sure functionally it is fine.
I have a P220 and love it, so I'm not in the market for a P226 myself.

I like the .357 Sig. It doesn't put a hole in an empty 12 oz. container, it tears it in half. Thus it is named 'shredder' as is my 1911 when it sports the .400 corbon.Comment
