threaded barrel on handgun legal?

Yes it is legal. Under the right circumstances. Possession of a threaded barrel is legal. If it's actually in a gun, something MUST be permanently attached to that barrel. Think soldered/welded comp on a 1911 barrel. Perfectly legal.

threaded barrels are legal on ALL firearm types in CA, with the exception of semi-automatic pistols that have a detachable magazine. single-shot pistol, revolvers, and other non-semi-auto pistols have have all the threaded barrels they wish. It is only sem-auto pistols that have threaded barrel restrictions, and that only applies to those that have a detachable magazine. Run a fixed mag config on that semi-auto pistol and you can have a threaded barrel, example being CA-legal AR-pistols.Jack
Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
