    Gun review: Glock 30sf

So, I took my newly acquired G30sf to the range this last weekend. Needless to say, I'm a little disappointed. It was as accurate as my 1911 (that's probably my fault being that I apparently can't shoot for jack poop), shot softer than my 1911, and held 2 more rounds. Hey! What gives Glock! I could have bought 2 of yours for for what I paid for my SA MC Operator!

I'm not really complaining, because I am now going to end up buying another Glock before another 1911. The Operator is a great gun, I love it like it's my own child. The Glock has become the stepchild, the one that I neglect and beat up on without remorse. No FT anythings. Ate all my mixed bag rounds without flinching, and wasn't nearly as akward as the Glock 21 that I fired years ago that made me swear that I'd never buy that plastic crap.

Next up for me...shoot it more. Then, 3.5 lb connector, join GSSF, and save my pennies for a G34. I need another fullsize 9mm, and it's less ugly than the G17. Hopefully with a 9mm I can shoot more and get a little more accurate with a pistol.

In conclusion, if you were ever anti-Glock or even on the fence, jump off, buy one, and enjoy the simplicity and affordability. And, Gaston, if you're reading that last line, I'll take that G34 in lieu of cash!

Once you join GSSF, you can can get a discount towards your next Glock purchase or you can win a Glock if you place 1st in one of the GSSF matches.

Well, guess that shooting competitions might help out with the accuracy too!

although i love my old w german sigs... i am fond of the older glocks too. given certain environmental conditions i am sure i would actually prefer the glock. but in this urban bliss of southern california i love my old sigs. the glock is much like certain reptiles of our wonderful planet: it has changed little, adapted to the new age and yet keeps on keepin on....

I was introduced to Glock-17 in 1991. Prior to that year I was a Sig and Colt 1911 die hard fanatics. When a shooting buddy of mine let me try his combat tupperware G-17 gen-1 my world of likes in firearms has change. Here is a gun that I can purchased in those days for about $375.00 out the door that was light, easy, soft shooting, more ammo in the mags and relatively accurate in 25yrds. Since then sold all my Sigs and Colts and decided that the only pistol I will keep are Glock and a few high end 1911. Up to this day my likes on glock has not change. Un-like the Sig and 1911 its an ugly looking gun, but if ever I have to used one to defend myself, love ones ,there is no doubt the pistol I would carry and use will be my G-21 & 30 or G-17 & 19 in that order.

I'll trade you a BNIB G34 and install a 3.5# connector in your G30SF in exchange for your SA MC Operator.

Glad you like your new pistol!

I hope I didn't just screw myself, I took it apart. Definately less parts than a 1911, but now I have to leave before rassembling it. Wish me luck.

                      Speaking of Glock 34's...

I took my new (to me) Glock 34 out this weekend, and I have to say that it's a pretty sweet little gun. I was just messing around with it and getting used to the trigger, but it did well. I was shooting about 100 yards with it, and that thing is darn accurate! I'd suggest you pick one up ASAP!
