    Beretta 92FS Compact Type M

I just noticed this pistol is on the roster. The Compact L Type M was one of the first pistols I shot and really liked and have always wanted to own.

Does anyone know if the one that is currently on the roster is also the single-stack variant? I'll check the Beretta website also to see if I can find more info on it. Would love to finally get one.

Ok, the Beretta website was useless...

I did find listings on gunbroker for both a 13+1 and a 10+1 variant. I'm guessing the 10+1 version is the one for us Californians, but just wondering if anyone knows the model number?

I think Beretta discontinues 92FS single stack type M, and replaced with 92FS Compact double stack 10 rds.
The 92FS Type M is on the roster but discontinue (hard to find a new one in CA and the whole US), the 92FS Compact is available every where but in CA , for about $600. In CA you have to expect to pay more than $700 for a used 92FS Compact.
For conclusion, both Beretta 92FS Type M and Compact is very hard to find in CA, even a used one still cost your an arm and leg.
Heck, I buy gun to shoot not to collect, get a similar pistol, brand new CZ 75B (Compact) PCR for $550 and shoot the heck out of it.

Type M is hard to find Turners used to sell them. Magazines for them are hard to find too and $$$.

What about the M9A1? Is that still available and on roster? I never see it in the stores anymore...

It's still on the roster however every store I ask hasn't seen them in a really long time.

It's a little confusing. If I recall correctly, one has a shorter grip and uses a 13 rd magazine and the other just has a shorter barrel but standard length grip magazine capacity.

Beretta USA is useless. They we're so sure they'd be getting the M9A3 approved by the military, they've ignored their retail base. They don't even know if their handguns made at their new plant/new state are going to be grandfathered in the roster.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, you're doing it all wrong.
