    Wussery...
Did you ever get through to Dobbs?
He's my go to guy and have referred my friends to...
I'm having to start all over again because I had to let my ccw expire because of health issues...
I'll be reaching out to Dobbs as soon as my application is approved...

As of right now, it has been 17 days in the status of ?assigning to processor shortly?.

            Thanks all!

Just an update. I received an email today that the renewal has been accepted. It took about 2 months from the day I submitted the documents.

I just uploaded my course completed paperwork yesterday. Let's see how long before I can pick up ccw. Hoping before this weekend.

More likely it with be 6-8 weeks if a renewal, if first time even longer.

Crazy how long it's taking now. If I remember right 5 years ago it went pretty quickly. I'm having to start over. So it's being treated as a new issue

I'm doing my first renewal now. I uploaded my cert 3/30/24 and haven't heard anything yet. My mistake was that I didn't know that you complete your qualification before you apply. That way you upload your cert when you reapply. I was trying to start the process right at the 60 day mark. I couldn't. I hope this helps someone from making the same mistake as I. It looks like 2 months is the average so I got another 4 weeks maybe. Sucke tho, cause my permit is now expired.

Were you able to reach the CCW Coordinator for status? I've had success with questions from Dave Adams of Blueridge Consulting & Firearms. (707) 689-0172. Good luck!

Right on, thank you. I haven't tried contacting anyone. I just check the status online. Most forums said about 2 months, so i'm almost there with 2 weeks to go. Ill be patient.
UPDATE: So I was contacted on May 24 that more documentation was needed. I submitted everything and got conformation May 29 that they received everything. I haven't heard anything and haven't gotten my renewal approved. Still waiting.

So sounds like renewals are taking up to 2 months right now. I added a firearm back in May and had to restart my app and I still haven't heard about my renewal. I was hoping to have it back by this weekend since I'm going camping. My last renewal didn't take this long. This sucks. Rant over.

I recently moved to Solano County for school from Los Angeles County. I do not intend to stay at my current address long-term (I am renting a room, but looking for an apartment) but have been here almost three months so far. What are the residency requirements and is there anything unique to Solano County I should know about?

Also, what is the county's good moral character standard? I do not have a perfectly clean background (but am not prohibited). What is the basis for denials versus approvals? If I don't stand a chance I would rather not waste my time and money, whether for this or residency issues.

What is the process, timeline, and cost these days? And what are the standards for adding a gun to the permit?

I didn't bother when in LA County due to my belief that they were strict on good moral character such that I would not get by with any kind of record (I could never get an answer here and at best got a "go read the hundreds of pages in the thread before asking anything" response) and the other hurdles and sheer length of time involved in the process. The timeframe to get a permit even if all goes well is absurd there. My city does not have a PD, so I would have had to go through the county in that case.

All of the information is here and I would go ahead and apply and if approved you can always update your info if you move.

Does anyone know what their "good moral character" standards are? I'm a student with limited income now and wasting time and money would suck if I have no shot, but it looks like I may be SOL on the residency stuff. I rent a room in a house where the owner covers utilities, so I don't get any bills of that sort in my name at that address. Credit card and bank statements and bills are electronic. I contribute to a family plan which is in my father's name, so I don't get a cell phone bill here, either. When I renewed my DL last month I decided I didn't want to have to pay for another DL when I moved into an apartment in the future, so I kept my old address on it, which is in LA County (and I have someone there who collects mail for me and gives it to me periodically).
