Me either. My brother submitted the same day and was approved in about 4 weeks

Did you take the same class as your brother?

Yup same day, and both submitted our paperwork at the same time. Only thing I can think of is he works for the Rivco Sheriff department so maybe he got preferential treatment.

I do know now my renewal is being postponed until I get my new house deed and a utility bill. I'm for sure going to expire before renewal. Good thing I never really leave my property unless I'm going to AZ.

Sounds like your brother is getting special treatment.

Probably shouldn't have notified them of the address change until after you received your renewed permit and the move was a done deal. To much information gummed up the works. I understand you were trying to do the right thing, but in hindsight maybe you should have waited.

IDK, the sheriff stressed in class a big reason for denials is not notifying of an address change, not looking to FAFO.

Yea, I understand that, but if you were still in the process of finalizing your move and getting all of the documents required to register a new address with them, waiting may have helped. I don't know how I would have handled it. I can't blame you for trying to do the right thing even if it bit you in the behind.

When I submitted my renewal moving wasn't even on my mind. A ****ty neighborhood got me to put my house on the market ASAP 2 months after submitting and then I moved a month after that, so everything was already in process.

Probably not. My renewal only took a few weeks and I do not work for any LEO office.

                        Keep in mind they REQUIRE:
How many days do I have to report a change of address?
                        • (10) business days to send an e-mail to our office
                        • (60) days to complete the change of address process

Yep, posted a few pages back.........

I think I still would have taken a chance and waited until my renewal arrived in the mail, then made the notification. Who knows, it may have been in his mail box on day 14. It looks like Supper doing the right thing, moved his application back to the bottom of the pile.

Given he is still waiting 3 months after his brother was issued his permit, its not first come first serve.

Or there was a issue/glitch along the way.

It has probably been posted several times. I posted it as a reminder as to why he didn't things the required way.
