Can anyone tell me the "minimum" caliber required for a ccw pistol/revolver in Riverside County?
I've heard that its .380acp for pistols and .38special for revolvers which is a bummer because I'm really interested in a .327mag as well as a few .32acp's and .22 magnums.

I don't know the answer, but e-mail the RCS ccw unit. I found they are pretty responsive. I got my question answered in one day.

Hey everyone. I'm up for my 3rd renewal at Ben Clark. My range date is on the 15th of this month. What I have noticed is the cost for removal went up to $150 (no biggie) and they are now requesting you bring 50 rounds per firearm. I assume the course of fire has changed. Can anyone pass on what it is now?
          Thanks!

ETA: Course of fire has not changed, 18 rnds per firearm. What did change (new to me) per SB 2 was the additional "stop the bleed", "mental health" and firearm maintenance portions of the class.

Also new, starting in September of 2026, you will be required live scan every renewal.

Your investigator will probably reply to an email within 24 hrs if you ask a question from the website. I seem to remember my investigator joshing be about dropping a .357 revolver to make room for a Khar PM9. Most of them seem pretty cool.
