I?ve got a red dot on my P365, NP, also a CrimsonTrace Laser on my Ultra CDPM II .45. Lights should be OK, not sure about trigger mods, but they don?t check or ask.

But yes, I agree that shop around and see what works best for you.
Fron Judea in January for my request to add a weapon:

Modification will just require live fire. Please provide the new weapon?s information to the range instructor of your choice among these fine vendors:

No more yearly qual, just on renewal.

Same situation here. Emailed her she said those ?training vendors should know our standards?. Pretty vague to me why she can?t just disclose their standards herself.

So I emailed 2 vendors on list and they havent replied yet. Don?t know if they ever will. But last year when I qualified they never asked a single thing or look at my stuff. I just wanna take out magazine disconnect and change grip for Sig

I emailed her about modifications as well for my Sig P365 such as RDS, triggers, grip module, slide and barrel. I want to change my slide and barrel to a longer one like the XL model. She just replied back that I need to reregister with the DOJ because the serial number will be different. Yeah....so I didn't reply back. I was using a Wilson Combat grip on my P365 and the instructors didn't say anything about it.

You mean the serial of barrel/slide will change in this case and you have to register that with DOJ? Isn?t DOJ only registering the firearm part, in this case would just be FCU?

Is your 365 California version? And you took out the magazine disconnect in order for Wilson Combat grip to work and instructor is fine?

I don't think she knows anything about the P365. MY DROS only have the S/N of the FCU.

Mine is off roster so no mag disconnects. I got it before the CA model was put on the roster. The instructors didn't make any comments when they inspected our firearms. One guy even qual with a RDS on his Glock and he's with Alameda County too.

That's good to know. I'm waiting on my CA ID to arrive to apply for my CCW. Apparently someone on reddit applied recently and was only allotted 2 firearms on his application. How many firearms did you qualify for?

I qualified with 2. I think you can qualify up to 3 now.

ACSO doesn't care about firearms modifications if they are reasonable and legal. RDS, mag disconnect, go crazy. I had ACSO instructors tell me that they would only care if it's something like a 1.5 lb trigger.

Nice. You said ASCO instructors is the source? So this is back early last year when they still had ASCO range qualification, not the 3rd party facilities like now?

Fremont PD website states ASCO will no longer accept CCW applications and that you have to apply with your local PD effective 3/1/2024. Now, should I apply within these next 3 hours or take a chance with my local PD?

The SN on a P365 is on the fire control group, not the frame. If you move the FCG to another frame the SN moves with it.

Correct. That's what led me to believe that she doesn't know anything about the P365 when she said I need to re-register with the DOJ as the slide will have a new S/N.

Quick update: Sent qual certificate to Judea on 2/7/2024 and this morning (i.e Sunday 3/3) got the email from her to pickup the permit. So I guess ~1 month.
