This thread prompted me to take some newer pictures of my sole OLL:

Rifle laying on Emdom Kitmat, stocked with BCM complete bolt & carrier (pre-headspaced to all of my rifles), roll pin set, hex wrench set, Armalite repair kit (and fire control group). Boresnake, toothbrush, misc cleaning supplies, eezox. That's my minimum range toolkit:

Kitmat stowed, Black Hills 69 grn BTHP Moly coated:

Fulton Lower, Armalite LPK, Ambi Selector, Solar Tactical, GG&G Sling Thing, Wilderness Three Point Sling, M4 profile 16" upper, mixed high quality parts, assembled by me. YHM fore and RRA fixed rear sight.

USGI mags lawfully owned and possessed since well prior to 2000; magpul anti-tilt follower upgraded.

It normally runs a bushnell holosight (old EOTech).

Creedmore basics shooting mat.

And, as a more energetic alternative:

S.A. 18" Scout length, Burris pistol scope (3.5 - 12 X), leupold QD rings, TNVC SAR & RDP (Burris fastfire equivalent)
Harris bipod, ARMS quick detach, Tactical Intervention Specialists Quick Cuff sling.

USGI mags (with minor surface rust) lawfully owned and possessed since well prior to 2000.

Fate, I'm just now noticing the difference in my Sully Stock vs. yours.

Mine does not have the sling loop, and the angle of the butt pad is different.

I e-mailed Sully to find out the scoop.

Funny, I never noticed until the pics were side by side.

Around Feb or April this year the dropped the extra sling swivel. The other stuff might just be lighting/angle/lens.

I really like this setup...if I were to build a featureless, it would look similar to this. Nice rifle!

Do you have a plug for those that don't have a pistol buffer?

I decided to make mine with features. On second thought you guys can have a regular mag release and use your old 30's. This actually makes a more functional rifle. Although it's like getting old Mary rottencrotch out behind the barn and finding out her pistol grip is wearing a chastity belt. You keep wanting to put your thumb there and cant.

Oh man I clearly understand that

You get use to it after a few trips to the range. I was out a few days ago with some old friends from HS and they were out there with their RAWS. I have my hi-caps and was able to use their AR's and I put my thumb on the PG just as I do using my featureless set up

Got Stuff wins!!! Nice 75 round Drum Too bad I never bothered to get one of thiose before the ban took place, and rebuilding a 30 onto one of those now is a bit expensive. I will have to keep my eyes open and build one of those soon enough

I really like lowracers setup though, that looks workable. The great thing about AR's is I could easily convert mine to that, and back again. Funds permitting another one in a featurless (I hate saying that word) would be in order.

If you think about it, what would you be missing with a featurless:

wrapping thumb and putting weak hand on something vertical.

and gaining,

if ever unlucky enough to be in a firefight being able to normally drop a mag and having more capacity.

hmm, the gain is starting to seem better to me.

Solar Tactical's Grip is real easy to take off and convert back to mag lock CA Approved Status. It is held on by 3 screws and is not difficult to remove or apply.

For me it is a matter of minutes to remove the the mag catch, apply the Raddlock, undo the pins in the stock, and remove the Fin from my PG.

Main advantage for going Featurelss is being able to drop mags and use 30+ round mags if you had them way back when. I would even go as far to say that I would build a featureless rifle and use 10/20 or 10/30's heck even a 10 rounder by istelf for competition purposes.

Have fun and be safe my fellow Featureless Build Owners

I really like that. I've been looking for a U15 for a long time now. Finally someone came up with another option
I just might have to build a second AR noe and go featureless....

Thanks
