Cool Lets see your 5.56/.223 SPR "Special Purpose Rifles" , pt.II

Original is now locked, with 132 days of inactivity.

So here's Post #1 of the second go-round.

And here's MY SPR, since it's been re-done with a Vortex Razor, gen. II 1x6

Nice looking rifles.

The scope looks like a PST.

Heh, heh, heh...

Being stuck at home, I've lost the ability to read. SURE enough, the box says "PST-1605!"

It's a mutt. I have the list of every part, but wrote this from memory.

Spikes Tactical upper and lower receivers
ALG trigger
Ares Armor nickel boron bcg
Vltor A5 buffer, tube, and spring
Magpul buttstock with larger buttpad
Raptor charging handle
Vortex strikefire 2 red/green dot and 3x magnifier
Spikes Tactical havoc launcher
Magpul offset sights
Surefire 600 lumen flashlight with pressure switch
20" heavy barrel with 1:8 twist and rifle length gas port
Low profile gas block and gas tube
A2-style birdcage
Rifle length mlok handguard
Magpul 3 point sling
Noveske endplate with quick detach
YHM extended takedown pins
Magpul BAD lever
Ambidextrous safety switch

This is my defense rifle. It's heavy, but tart should allow it to have a longer sustained rate of fire if needed. The downside is it will also take longer to cool the barrel. I don't plan on going very far with this rifle because the intent is to protect home. I do have 37mm flares should shtf. I do also have a carbine on .223/5.56 should I need to patrol or go on the offensive. It is a few pounds lighter. None of my ARs are not California compliant. As such, I'm not in California, and my firearms will never be.

My take on a lightweight CA legal SPR.
Leupold VX-R Patrol 3-9x40 (love the FireDot reticle)
Cheap offset iron sights
LaRue PredatAR 18" barrel
Guntec Muzzle Shroud/Brake
Thordsen FRS Gen 2 Stock & extension cover
Geissele 15" SMR Mk4
LaRue MBT-2S
BAD-*** ambi safety
Raptor charging handle

What the heck. Two of mine. Both are 5.56, both with GMR stainless barrels. One in 20", the other in 18".
