I just lined it up with a little level and put a pencil mark on the scope and the rings. I went around and just tightened each screw incrementally until they got a little snug. Then used the torque wrench to get them to where they needed to be and the pencil line were still perfectly aligned afterward. Didn't move at all, still level.
I also read elsewhere that someone was told by their gunsmith to place a drop or oil between the scope and each mount before torquing down the rings to keep it from spinning, but I didnt do that.

Glad to know you had better luck than me. Took me 3 attempts to make sure my LPVO wasn't canted when trying to install it on aero precision mount. I subsequently moved on to ADM mounts and couldn't be happier...
