Default BLM Places to go shooting.

I'm looking for somewhere to take a couple, 22 rifles and go plunking. I travel between LA and Palm Springs so anywhere between the 2. I keep trying to use their site but all I ever get is 504 Gateway Time-Out.
Of course aftershooting I will take out as much trash as I can.
Please PM me (don't post) if you know of a BLM property that is open anywhere near these areas.
Thanks

There's not much BLM between LA and PS. You'd have to go east of PS, and it is HOT right now.

Jeeze, call the BLM and buy their set of maps and they will mark them up as to where you can shoot. You'd know this if you took the time to do any research if your own.

Sheesh, Millennials, "don't post".

The BLM website isnt that helpful and not everyone knows calling is an option. The guy is asking here and I applaud him for using Calguns as part of his research. You gave him the answer he needed and that's awesome.

Usually people wont give up their spots because they end up getting trashed and then it gets shut down but asking here is a logical step in the search for legal places to shoot. Better they ask here then going out to shoot wherever and making gun owners look bad.

But still, why be such an *** about it? The libs give us enough **** then guys like you come along making people feel unwelcome--especially when he's trying to do the right thing.

OP, I asked a similar question last month here
http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1623271

When I was checking last month the BLM website for California stated that due to hot weather target shooting was limited to equipped sites only. Other poster mentioned that Nevada did not have such restrictions. You may call BLM and left them a message with your question. They seem to return calls promptly. As mentioned earlier in this thread the BLM website offers maps of BLM lands for $5 or something like that.

You have hodge rd which on weekends best avoid maybe weekdays will be fine or as i prefer drive 20 min north.North of 40 west of 15 there is plenty to shoot a little exploring you will find something nice and no one around.

I prefer steel targets for public lands easy pick up and i reload so i scoop up the brass too but everyone should pick up all the brass anyways. Now that im in az no one gives their spots sure there are a couple but need to hit the blm office and get some maps too and explore.I like to make a weekend of shooting so we also camp out with family makes its easier paced and do other stuff out there too.

Hodge road if you want a quick and easy set up... was there last weekend And I was surprised to see people already have a set up and shooting right after the exit... they did not even drive down that far... right when you enter on the right side there already shooting... highway patrol and cops was there right when I exit.. I’m even asking myself is this even legal in Cali... lol

I think there is some in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Oakland, once and awhile in San Diego, but if you look out of state right now Milwaukee, Portland,Minneapolis are good ones.
