I don't know about anyone else, but I've only had one person reach out for 50 rounds. As such, I'm amending my offer thusly: if by Christmas I don't receive contacts for 500 rounds total, I commit to donate a box (500 rds) to my local youth Rifle program, which is run by the Visalia Sportsman's Association, as an alternate means to help the next generation of shooters. Somehow it doesn't feel right to volunteer the ammo up and then not gave it go to a good cause in the end.

Hello All. I just came upon this thread. I too would like to help spread some holiday spirit. I will break up a box of Remington Golden bulk into two zip locks (I'm not gonna count per piece. I'll do it by weight, so one baggy will be 262ish and the other bag will be 263ish.).

If before I give out any one of these two bags, someone shows me a recent purchase of 22LR pistol or rifle (Oct2103 to present), I'll give you both bags.

Since this can be used in either a pistol or rifle, I must insist that you are 21years old or older. You need to show me a valid CA drivers license for proof.

Please remember that the original intent of this thread is to help a kid enjoy his new rifle or a family with kids to enjoy a day out at the range. If you have already received a donation from someone else, please dont ask me. Also planning to save it for a rainy day or to resell, well bahumbug on you. Karma will return the favor.

With that 'fineprint' out of the way...I am in the South San Jose area. Happy Holidays to you!

Why not.

I will do one 500rnd box to someone buying for their young one. Little different though. In person show me proof of purchase for a YOUTH MODEL rifle. I know, not all of you buy youth models for your little ones, but I think its a great way to do it.

I live in Tracy and Work in Dublin. If you bought your little one a youth model and are in those areas, PM me. We can meet for lunch, with proof you get 500rnds for you son/daughter/grandchild.

reciept listing date/model/caliber or DROS listing date model caliber (you can redact your personal info of course).

Guys, try posting your free ammo in the WTS thread as well. I was able to get some takers from there. In fact met with one last night and will meet with another today. Hopefully we get to see pics of smiling kids soon.

Happy Friday!

Need to to figure out a way to reach the general public....

Good luck all, Hope you score some takers.

I will do Glendale (91206) -- 100 rds to adult with a kid and recent receipt x 3.

I disagree. We don't need to find the general public. We need the general public to find CGN and find out just what an "internet community" is all about. That said, the one taker I've had just mentioned that his son did not get to go on a BSA camping trip and earn his marksmanship merit badge. So, when he gets his ammo from me, I will do what I can to help him earn it!

How about in order to weed out scammers, require them to trade another form of ammo like 15 .223 for your 50 .22lr.

Sure there are scammers. But for 50 or 100 rds of ammo, I'll take a chance, as long as there is that chance that a kid can get to enjoy shooting and learning the fundamentals of shooting.

Heck, karma will come bite those scammers. For $5 - $10 worth of ammo, they better think about it.

I've only received two PMs (just today). I PM'd the first one and am waiting a response. I PM'd the second one to tell him that he is second in line. I thought I would have a few more PMs, especially with me offering a full box if they recently bought a 22LR firearm. (I also posted in the private for sale ammo section).

On another topic, I need your opinions. The 2nd person that PM'd me had a posting selling 22LR ammo TODAY. I cant tell if he sold it or changed his mind. My opinion is that if he had 22LR to sell, he was not in need for an ammo donation. I dont think he's hard up for money because he just bought a 22LR rifle on 12/17 (he pm'd me his receipt).

I pm'd him to tell him that he was 2nd in line but I also asked him about the 22LR ammo he was selling. I even copy/pasted his for sale thread/post. His iTrader is in the mid/low 90%. Based on the iTrader rating, he seems honest, but I'll see what his response is.

No bites here yet. I also have it posted in the ammo marketplace. If no one takes me up on it I'm going to donate it to a local jr rifle team.

I offered up some in a WTB thread with no response. I will offer up four lots of 100 Federal bulk in the Fontana area. PM to meet up.

Must post pics of child enjoying ammo. I have three girls 8 years and under that each have received rifles. I would hate not having ammo for them to shoot.

I will post forum screen name of who got each of the lots in case they try and sell it off or trade it.

Merry Christmas
Marcos

Default ****FREE**** Ammo for Christmas

South Sacramento-

I can donate some 22lr ammo to a child/young adult that needs ammo for a new gift rifle. I am guessing four baggies of 25 rounds or whatever need comes up.

Please PM me with a contact phone number and I'll get back to you. Please no scammers and only people with an honest need.

Thank you

Any plans to visit the North San Diego area in the near future? It would be cost prohibitive to ship or make a special drive otherwise.

I thought about jumping in for the Folsom area as well but since you don't have any takers, I am donating a box of 333 to my co-worker who has kids that love to shoot. Gets them out of moms hair for the day and they spend quality time with dad in the outdoors.

Thanks to everyone here that participated! I didn't get any requests, but while I was out at the range today letting my boys shoot their new toys I stepped into the office and donated the brick to the youth shooting program. It'll get to put smiles on some kids faces after all...
