Right outside the front gate! Iíve not stayed there, but Iíd imagine itís unimproved with no power or sewer hook ups.

Maybe someone else will chime in with more details, but I always see the RVís and trailers when I drive in.

You're correct. I believe it is technically BLM land.

I thought Dr Piazzaís property goes all the way to Tecopa Rd.? Remember when they tell you not to load up your CCW gun until you get to the other end of Front Sight Rd?

How was the good doctor able to stop Ammo Supply Warehouse Becker from selling ammo at the corner of Hwy 160 and Tecopa if that was BLM land?

You can dry camp in front of front sight. It is open desert. No facilities. There are RV parks in Pahrump about 30 minutes away that are very reasonable. The Casino and best western have hook ups

The Front Sight property is an oddly shaped piece of property not quite a square mile in area. The front gate and original ranges are on the borders of the eastern most parcel. It used to be split right in half between Clark County on the east and Nye County on the west but the two counties agreed to move the county line to the east so Clark County wouldnít have to go out there from Vegas to deal with things. As for setting the law on Ammo Supply Warehouse, thereís probably a regulation about no free enterprise on BLM land which FS was happy to blow the whistle on to the powers that be.

I thought their website says they have a 550-acre property So, if their property ends at the front gate, you can actually load up past the guard house, right?

Glad to see that ASW is doing well in Pahrump. You guys heard that they and a local gun shop got together to have a gun storage facility for FS students?

I'm sure those of you who routinely get bombarded with Front Sight emails have received this latest email:

"You may not be aware that very shortly I will be locking all membership levels.

This is happening in two ways...

1. I am methodically raising specific membership prices.

2. I am closing out completely the offer of certain memberships.

As an example, you can no longer purchase Private Training Memberships at any price.

As another example, the Director Membership, one of our most popular upgrades, was offered last month, for the LAST time at $997 price. It is now $1,497.00 and still an amazing opportunity, but it too will go up in price as the limited number of upgrades I set aside are taken.

So if you want to upgrade, NOW is the time to do it, or you will face higher and higher prices the longer you wait, or forever be locked into your lower membership level and locked out of upgrading to a higher, more advanced, more elite level membership."

I'm guessing it may be just another marketing tactic and attempt to get people to open their wallets, but just wanted to get some clarification.

I bought a buddy a Commander membership for his birthday. His birthday is next month in June and will surprise him with the membership then. I have already bought the membership from a fellow CG'er who has agreed to hold the membership for me until I tell him to transfer it to my buddy. Is there anything I need to worry about with this last email, or does this have no affect on other members transferring memberships?

This has no effect on memberships you purchase from others. Just upgrades to higher levels. Also Iggy’s emails don’t always go out to everyone, sometimes he is more selective in who emails go out to.

I've already taken 4 classes in the last year and a half and heading back in June. I think I'm getting my money's worth!

I suppose you could load up outside the gate, but they might claim its their road, their rules. IDK. No one will know what you do in your own car.

The attached image will show FS in aqua color and I've marked the locations of the old county line and front gate. It is 550 acres and a square mile is 640 acres, so It's about two 40 acre parcels shy of a square mile in total area.

Also check out Wine Ridge Resort in Pahrump. Nice place and they have sites for RV's.

Been out 8 times and well worth the few bucks I spent for Diamond - was cheap.

We stay at the Winery every time - nice and off the main drag.
