Remember there are restrictions on the land you hunt so look into the sheriff's office just to be safe.

You CAN. But why? Pretty sure you'd have to spend over $1k to get it to shoot as well as a $400 Savage. If it's the only big game rifle you own, then, well, use what you got, I guess.

Most number of shots I've ever needed in a big game rifle magazine is 2. My Mossy MVP has a 10-round mag. I don't think I've ever carried more than 5. It's hunting, not warfare or even self defense. It doesn't take long to cycle a bolt gun when the excitement is on.

With all the forest fires I think the accidental run ins into illegal grows probably has been reduce. Probably no game left either though.

Just run 10 rounders if you can't hit something and kill it in 10 you're doing it wrong anyways.
Better go read the regs it's 3 for all game...

I was thinking, just take the gas block off. You would have to cycle it manually though.

Anything registered has additional #GASP# restrictions on
1- transportation
2- loans
3- loans to minors
4- places where you can legally shoot the AW

So a 308 semi auto is a good pig choice... if also a Registered rifle- be aware of additional restrictions on the RAWs in this DUMB state
All looks good except #4, anywhere it is legal to shoot a rifle is legal to shoot any legally owned rifle. I guess some state areas might be rifle specific.

AR in .308 is one of my main hunting rifles. Got three deer in the last two years with it. Just make sure it's configured legally with either a mag lock or featureless. Because well, Komifornia.

No it’s not. Please educate yourself. You are the reason stuff like this gets perpetuated.

Three for shotgun when hunting game birds. Zero restrictions on rifle capacity. You can use a 100 round drum if you legally own one.

If you have a RAW or BBRAW then that doesn't apply, many of us Californians own them too.

It doesnít need to be a RAW to use 30 round mags. You could use your regular old registered AR as long as it isnít fixed mag with features.

A registered AR is a RAW, with all the features and a 100 round drum for hunting if I want.

You can use a featureless with the same mag for the same thing. What's the point you are trying to make? Configured legally is either RAW ,featureless or mag lock. Only two of the three can have a high cap mag.

Regardless, that wasn't what was the original question. Can you use .....

God, just realized I got sucked into this ancient thread.....

Correct, but you missed the BBRAW, any magazine is legal for a bullet bullet rifle RAW too. It's important that the out of state cucks get it right, we don't only own maglock or featureless, currently that's all that can be purchased. Yeah it's an old topic.
