Default Springfield Saint Victor .. So Far.. So good..

Stopped into Discount Gun Mart a few weeks ago and picked this up on a whim.
SA Saint Victor California Compliant Model.
https://www.springfield-armory.com/s...-ca-compliant/

So far.. Very pleased. Fit and finish on the rifle is excellent. Seems to be constructed with good parts. Lightweight and feels solid. Price was $960 on sale.

Added a few trinkets and got it out to the range just now. Only had time to shoot a single box of ammo. But got it dialed in at the range so that I can take it over to their longer range later.

I have a couple M1As and I must say that Springfield knows how to do a muzzle brake. This rifle has some kind of Springfield brake and it is super flat shooting. The trigger they put on this is also great. Super crisp break.

So you switched from mag lock to featureless?

Just decided to give featureless a try. Off the bench, the fun grip isn’t so bad. Probably isn’t optimal for running and gunning, but it’s fun at the range.

Stick with the featureless. You can run-n-gun just as efficiently as a standard gripped AR. The ability to drop a mag as normal is more critical in my opinion over having my thumb wrapped around the other side. I run AR's and AKs with no issues in carbine courses.

Nice range report OP. Good to know Springfield Armory's Saints are nice shooters.

You can try Sparrow Dynamics grip its pretty nice and much more comfortable to hold versus the fin.
