I just picked up a 1972 Ruger 10/22 rifle. The rifle has many cosmetic issues and the barrel has a crack. However the action and bolt are very solid and function. I plan on customizing this to make it a precision shooter.
Being that it is a 1972 rifle, will the more modern kidd barrels, kidd trigger and new stock still marry up to the receiver?

I went the "sleeper" route.
Bedded receiver, floated barrel (doesn't touch the barely band either). Kidd drop-in trigger. "Bolt hold open" mod. Mueller APV 4.5-14X40 scope.
Looks like original, doesn't shoot like original.
Daughter has claimed it as Hers.

Lots of fun in a 10/22

"Ruger" 10/22 Takedown

The only thing that's still Ruger is the receiver. Pretty satisfied with the accuracy, given it's a takedown. It likes Eley ammo.

Engineered Silence Takedown Chassis
Kidd Bolt Assembly
Kidd Two Stage Trigger
Duracoated receiver
Volquarsten CF Barrel
Volquartsen Muzzle Device
Sig MPX Folding Stock

It’s kind of a 10/22 lol
I put a vortex scope on it and was messing up golfballs at 100 yards with cci bulk ammo

Nothing terribly cool. Both have Hornet Trigger assemblies and little xtra bits thrown in as well.

Ruger SR22 with a Nikon African 1-4 and a Cav Arms A1 stock

Fun fast plinker with a Green Mountain Aero barrel and a Vortex Venom on a Hogue stock
