Lightbulb Dedicated .22LR AR's Post Em iif You Got Em, pt.II

OK... so the OLD thread is 183 days old, and can't be posted in anymore. Time to start a new one!

That said... I can't believe I never posted here earlier!

Bought the complete Aero Precision lower - with ARF-X stock - as a great deal off another firearms board a dozen years ago. .22LR AR's like FULL hammers, btw - at least the TacSol models do.

Tactical Solutions upper I purchased from Addax, in late '09. Since I'm in a free sate, I got the smoke/clear Black Dog 30 rd. mag with it - bought 3 more, I liked 'em so much.

INITIALLY, I knocked the oval handguards off, and went with DD rails, Troy BUIS, and an Aimpoint Comp M2. At that SAME time I bought the TacSol upper, I also had Addax build me a custom Vltor/Sabre Defense upper for my HD rifle; I recently switched from DD rails to a BCM MCMR M-lok on that rifle. So that it would BETTER emulate my HD rifle, I went with these no-name brand M-lok rails on the .22, as an affordable approximation.

Wears a Primary Arms 30mm red dot now (2moa, and DAMN accurate - PERFECT for a .22!), Surefire E-1B light, Ergo grip, and Gear Sector sling. Plenty o' accurate for .22, and a much cheaper way to enjoy working on technique, than with 5.56 - especially on an indoor range.

Here it is beside my HD rifle, for comparison.

Just put these two together on some Andersen lowers and spare parts I had in the bins. Love me some rimfire

Top is a complete PSA upper with a PA 1-6 .22 ACSS. Bottom is a RTB receiver and pencil barrel, using a CMMG bolt and a PA micro. Both have ALG triggers and Bore Buddy pressure plugs.

Here is my latest FN M16A2 Clone. CMMG Dedicated Bolt group. CMMG dedicated 20 Inch Government Profile Barrel.

GI Handguards, Buttstock and the Lower is a Anderson. Upper Receiver is a FK marked USGI FN M16A2 Receiver. FN USGI Grip too.. Fun little A2 Clone in .22 Caliber.

The FN upper Receiver sight is kinda overkill, it has a National Match pinned rear sight. But it came with the Receiver, so I used it.

I am going to eventually buy a M16A2 Clone marked Lower for it.

VERY nice setup - how do you like these pieces in particular.

What kind of accuracy are you getting at 50'?

I love the mag adapter. Great function with the bolt hold open etc. Haven’t gotten to use the new barrel and bolt yet though. They are rebranded cmmg items so I’m sure it’ll be nice. Will keep you updated.
