Also, I did note a potential weak point in the Tailwind carrier, particularly when donning it in the dark by feel. I leave one side panel latched up and only latch the other and it is a bit hard to slide together vertically by feel, so far.

However, practice makes perfect. I'm practicing putting on all gear within two minutes in the dark as a goal. Doffing isn't a problem, the latch release has an easily found tab tail to pull and lift vertically.

Tactical SH*T is clearancing out Chase Tactical (Highcom) 4SAS4 Level IV plates. These are 10"X12" (typically measure 9.5"X11.5"), and were at one time a CPL rated plate under NIJ 04. That standard is now inactive, but if you were wanting something on the cheap $99/plate is hard to pass up. I picked up a set and will be testing them on the channel.

Experimenting with an embedded link to bypass the word filter... else, readers can copy the link and paste it into a new window with the appropriate word replacing the asterisks.

                  Looking forward to the test.

ETA, the embedded link apparently worked. I set it to go to the armor page. However, that may not activate affiliate links, if appropriate.

The 4SAS4 shows it's a dated design. Do NOT drop them in a belly flop situation. They held M2AP and even the baddest 5.56

For the steel guys this is probably the most resilient piece I've tested. Frag coating was bare min, but threat stoppage was top notch:
