Is this for real?

My BN hands out the fiscal year's drill schedule in November. So even if we had an insane thing like drill over the 4th of July we would at least KNOW well ahead of time.

Same as ours. We know the UTA schedule 2 years in advance so there are no surprises.

That is really poor planning. We go through a detailed analysis on our upcoming drill schedule to ensure its deconflicted from every major holiday...and Superbowl

Ahhhhhh.....superbowl.... Nothing like standing in front of the platoon on Superbowl Sunday afternoon, after the commander released the company. You can feel the atmosphere quivering as they wait for those words.....

Drill on a holiday weekend oh noez!! FWIW last year my company was tasked to pull medical coverage for ROTC cadets throughout the entire summer including the 4th so dont tell me you Nasty Boys/reserves are complaining about a 2 day drill

No complaints. Just trying to plan my 4th of July weekend, there are no guarantees I would be sober.
