Thumbs up $40.50 total

I applied the coupon 2014SHOWS, and got $4.50 off + free shipping, for a total of $40.50 for a paperweight.

well i ordered two, not too happy with their site. i used the code and my order was for $81, the site stalled when i placed the order as well. When it went through it apparently removed the coupon and i was charged $90.

i sent them a email hopefully they honor the coupon.

someone please update if you have received the paperweight with the safety detent hole drilled out, thanks in advance.
Also, anyone know if the matching upper in the raw will have problems of premature wear as its not anodized?
I want to have a matching set in the raw

**** it, I ordered some stuff.

Anderson makes good stuff, never read of any problems, though I'm sure someone on the interwebz has a gripe with them. Hopefully I never do. Not having the safety detent hole drilled out is a PITA though.

I used the elemental arms blue jig and it worked great. (If you ignore some idiot me drilling the pivot pin detent hole crooked)

This information is from the 2013 batch of lowers, it may or may not have changed since then.
Operations required to finish (not the same operations at the tactical machining "standard"):
1) Fire control pocket (takedown lug area already completed)
2) Trigger Pin holes
3) Safety Hole
4) Safety detent hole
5) Pistol grip drill/tap
6) Front take-down pin detent & breather holes
7) Bolt catch spring/plunger hole

Hopefully Dark Sky can give a definitive answer soon

Sounds more like 60%. Most of the holes are pretty straight forward except the pistol grip. A jig to at least hold the lower level and square will be needed by most of you if you don't know what you're doing. Mine are scheduled to arrive Thursday and I'll be using the Blue Jig to hold everything square in my Bridgeport. I may not get around to machining them right away but I should be able to let everyone know what's needed.

Just curious, is it only the safety detent hole that needs to be milled? How about the other holes listed by SilentPea?

Edit: I mean aside from the Fire control and trigger/safety holes that needs to be milled on most paperweights.
I assume the pistol grip is already drilled and tapped, according to Doc's pictures.

Just got mine. Safety detent hole IS drilled. The hole for the bolt catch plunger/spring is NOT drilled.
I'm thinking Anderson had a bunch of lowers that were missing an operation or two and decided it would be cheaper to sell them than spend the time to set them up again to finish them.

You might be able to get a replacement if you received one w/o the safety detent hole drilled.

I would like to know if all of your safety selector detent holes aren’t drilled? That was one of the issues a reviewer had about your 80%.

Just got mine and same here.
It's a lot better than doing the safety detent. There's more room for slop at the bolt catch than at the safety detent.

For 40.xx shipped, hard to complain.

I got mine today as well.
Safety detent is drilled . although I don't know how deep it needs to be. Kind of hard to see, but the start of the ruler is as far as it will go

I also thought the bolt catch was not drilled all the way, but I poked it with a paper clip and it opened up
