Default High capacity mags

Thinking about buying a Springfield XDM in AZ, where I currently reside. However I plan on moving back to CA in the near future. They don't make a 10rd mag for this gun.

If I were to get caught with said gun and mags at a CA range, what are the consequences? I have a clean record. No trouble. Just love this particular gun and wonder if I should buy it.

Thanks

The consequences of having said "high capacity" mags are what scare me.

Buy it, before you move here block the mags.

Importation of a large-capacity magazine can be charged as either a misdemeanor or a felony.

You can buy the gun now, but make sure and permanently alter the magazines to only hold 10 rounds before moving to CA.

Or, cross your fingers we no longer have a large-capacity magazine ban once you move.

If you don't move here until the next century, you may be in luck on this.

No.

The comment was about CA legal requirements.

In that context, only using the CA legal term "large-capacity magazine" is correct. In other conversation, use whatever you like.
