Default BLM Land Camping & Hiking?

Hey Calgunners.

I searched through alot of BLM threads and couldn't find much information on this, and I've already looked on the BLM website. I want information from first hand experience.

Whats the best area, if any, to camp overnight in a tent on your own?.. no camp sites or restrooms, etc....and also be able to shoot and what not?

If you guys can help me out i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Im in corona, Id be willing to drive anywhere from 3-6 hours if area is secluded.

I'm looking for more FOREST than DESERT. Trees, nature, etc.

Best bet is buy the maps from BLM. It really depends on what you want to shoot. Some areas only allow shotgun, some don't allow any target shooting at all, some only during the day, some 24/7.

It seems to me that most people don't really want to give up their shooting spots. I can't blame em.

Unfortunately if there is a forest there it normally becomes US Forestry property. From what I can see on the maps I have all of the SoCal BLM is desert.

The Cascade mountain range in Washington. Nothing like it.

Unfortunately, Kalifornia sucks if you want to shoot!!!
