Does the primer have it's own primer? How is it activated?

thats a primer for artillery.
Ive used them too!
nothing like 20+lbs of powder for a 155mm shell...

When they make a 1911 frame that will shoot it I will be buying one...

155mm would make an excellent home defense round.
