Thank you Ray for posting this detail instruction on Burro. So basically this will be a 3 part event.

1. Workshop: Mini Workshops 30 minutes each and 5 stations are going on at once. After 30 minutes, participants rotate to the next station and so on. This will be fun and enjoying. This should go from 9 am to 11:30-12 noon.

2. Lunch: We will have a bbq, as usual if you have a propane grill please bring it. Remember we have to feed 60-65 people. Obviously there is no free lunch. Everyone need to bring something. No one is making money off this meet so please sign up a Pot-Luck Style lunch.

3. Shooting: We should have around 3 hours of shooting. Please follow Burro Regulations and Rules on bullets, targets and safety.

If you have EZ Ups, please bring them.

NOTE to Instructors: Every instructor is responsible for an EZ Up

Please copy and paste the list below and let us know what u will bring.

1. Lex (Propane, Grill)
2. HPBrowningMK3
3. Moving Chicane (me)
4.

I would be willing help out with an emergency medical treatment station. I have a CPR dummy (no certification given but that doesn't stop you from being able to do it if needed), use of bag valve mask, AED trainer, Epi-Pen trainer, hemorrhage control & CAT's, C-Spine, airway maintenance, fracture management, practice w suture knots, etc. I don't have much specialty in long term medical survival but can help out with emergency treatment. Any other medical professionals willing to collaborate and help let me know.

Experience: RN, Trauma Nurse Core Course Cert, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, EMT (former), Advance Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support

If you're expecting 50 people, I would think that a potluck lunch would be difficult. Perhaps it would be better if we made it where if you choose to eat, then BYOM and maybe a side or drink to share with everyone. Just thought I'd share my thoughts.

Lex,

We can also see if we can invite Christopher Nyerges
for edible plants and general survival tips if there is enough interest.

Real quick,

If anyone has any special topics they would like covered for the Emergency Medical Treatment station let me know so I can come prepared. I will have a variety of different medical supplies for hands-on practice as well as covering the basics of hemorrhage control, airway, spinal immobilization, etc.

My gun club teaches a first aid course which is just enough to save someone's life. Can you do something like that? PM if you need more details.

While I don't know their exact course content, I was planning on doing something along those lines. I will also compile a quick Power Point to print out with key components of the most important life saving techniques and give as a handout. Will also bring text books (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support and Trauma Nurse Core Course) for those who want to dive deeper into the topics.

Also will have training aids, like an Epi-Pen, AED trainer, CPR dummy, along with various medial supplies to play with.

Basically, I'd cover: hemorrage control, airway management, stablization, transport and if there are any first aid kits you recommend.

Would that work for you?

I think if you can present something that is portable, that would be great. Maybe a handout or two for off grid?

Hey guys, count me in. I dunno if Ray's still thinking about a potluck, but I can bring some chicken, an EZ Up, a cooler, and some plastic chairs.

DontTreadOnMeBro714, I could help you out with your station. I got the knowledge, just not the experience - yet.

Ray, I know of some other threads that could lead people here. I'll link a couple of them here, unless you don't want me to.

If anyone is wondering, I'm an RN graduate, not working yet.

Pot luck would probably be the easiest. We're not collecting or making any money on this and I think it would be hard to try and collect 10 or 20 bucks from everyone to buy food.

Go ahead an post to other threads. I don't mind.

Sent you a PM. Would definitely take any help w the Emergency Med Station. I don't have an EZ-Up so if we could use yours that would be awesome. I have a decent collection of supplies I will be bringing to play around with for hands on experience.

For the medical workstation, how about a review of what people currently have in their car kits/first aid kits? I think I have a pretty comprehensive one but would love to get it reviewed by someone a bit more knowledgeable.

I think barter is good. What did you have in mind?
