We are hosting a general Shooting Line with Pot Luck eats!

This is the first Shoot'n'Que for 2014. Don't miss it! Honestly, I hope it is not in the 80's like XMas and New Year's, as I would like to pretend that we have winter.

Bring food and drinks for the Pot Luck.

Sign in at the office, 9AM and shoot and eat until we run out of bullets and food or until it's 4PM, whichever comes first.

Burro Canyon is NOT allowing bullets containing steel, or steel targets/frames. So don't bring 'em. Call the Burro office at 626-910-1344 if you have questions.

We will be checking ammo with magnets.

Location Details:
Burro Canyon Shooting Park
22100 East Fork Road
Azusa CA 91702 US
Burro Office - 626 910-1344

If you would like, bring your propane BBQ's and food/drinks to share. Wood and Charcoal grills are NOT allowed.

Shoots are scheduled every month this year so check the monthly schedule for dates. http://www.calendarwiz.com/calguns

PS: Coolers are usually in short supply. Bringing one full of ice is always appreciated (cuz i'm sure it will be warm).

Please respond to this thread if you will be coming and the following post will show those that have responded!

OP, double-check that range fee. Prices for private ranges went up to $25 per shooter on 1-1-14.

I'm planning on being there. I anticipate hearing back from some others that I have invited so I expect more shooters signing on in the coming days.

Is the fee now $20 or $25?

I'll bring big batches of red cabbage slaw and cucumber salad to help keep people from seizing up from the bacon

Pics from last year!

Someone there will be able to help. It's the same process as zeroing irons. All you need to know is how many "clicks" per MOA the scope is built with, then "do math". Flashbacks of high school Algebra and all-girl sister schools pop back into mind... lol.

Ok, let's say your scope has a 1/8 MOA per click.
So, it would take 8 clicks to move 1 MOA at 100 yards.
At 100 yards, 1 MOA is equal to 1 inch. (ex. 8 clicks to move POI 1 inch)
At 200 yards, 1 MOA is equal to 2 inches (ex. 4 clicks to move POI 1 inch)
At 300 yards, 1 MOA is equal to 3 inches (ex. 2.6 clicks to move POI 1 inch)
At 400 yards, 1 MOA is equal to 4 inches (ex. 2 clicks to move POI 1 inch)

There are some times when you have to guess estimates, which is where the mil dots in the scope reticle come into play. But that's another subject entirely. I hope you get the hang of it.

Ditto, first timers always welcome. It's my first time at a shoot with this many people.

Btw, wifey & I are bringing bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers! And I'm going to attempt to bring some freshly smoked candied bacon (key word, try, no guarantees lol waiting on the butcher to get an order in so I can marinate & smoke it)
