Default What Ranges near Fullerton, allow AR-15 (.223) Shooting?

What's the closest range that allows AR-15s to be shot?

If I knew it would've been this difficult to shoot them, I think I would've second guessed buying one! Too late now

Are you looking for indoor or outdoor?

Most outdoor ranges that I go to allow rifles, including AR15 but some have certain ammo restrictions, call or read their online rules.

LOL, I'm not sure but I think Prado does not normally allow centerfire rifles but that's all I've shot there for "special" events.

Some indoor ranges will require a class before you can shoot your long gun.

Your main issue at most outdoor ranges might be distance, if you want to shoot more than 100 or 200 yards but there are ranges that you can shoot at, or land that you can arrange to shoot on for longer ranges.

Search this forum, there's plenty of information here.

As posted above most outdoor ranges will allow your AR-15. I know RAuhauges will.

If long distance, above 200 yards, is what you want, try Burro Canyon above Azusa. A bit of a drive from OC but it could be what you want.

Not to blow up my spot. But if your willing to drive about 45-60 mins... there is BLM land that is near Hemet that I shoot at. depending on your "neighbors" you can go out quite a bit with your targets. I want to say about 400 yds? maybe more.

If you do go out to BLM specified shooting areas... Please, PLEASE, pick up after yourself. They will shut them down if they get messy. And they don't clean them up for us. It is a bureaucratic office after all.
