boltmopar took me there about 3 or 4 weeks ago to show me where it was at, it was still pretty rough and looked like it would take a bit to get it up and running. He has talked to the owner, try sending him a PM.... he might know.

If and when the range opens up, it is going to be located at the old Perris PD shooting range. The location is all the way at the end of Bellamo Lane X 4th Street. Its basically follow the long dirt road till you get to the giant berm. This location is City property and is now leased to the owner effective Nov 1st.
I spoke with the owner who has already broken ground on the place. A lot of people have gone out there and left all their trash and debris behind, so the primary focus is on clean up. As far as brass goes, if you do not collect it after your shoot, the tweekers will gather it up the second you drive away.

I have the owners contact info and will be in touch with him. I highly doubt that he is allowing access as it is currently under construction. There is also a gentleman that lives nearby, who has been hired by the owner to pretty much chase people out. Its a cool little place, with a lot of potential. Plus its ideally located. The owner did mention he was thinking about going with a yearly membership as opposed to pay as you play. I will post any updates, as soon as I get them.

WOW!!! $300 and it includes the whole family and guests. No daily range fee that's a really good deal!

I do believe it will be public, and have daily fees. I just like the ease of membership

Mr.Danny, I read everything on their website and there wasn't anything that addressed my question. I noted their membership is from Jan. 1, to Dec. 31. There is nothing that says whether it is prorated if you join after Jan 1. I would hope that if someone joined in the middle of the year, they would not have to pay the full $300.

My club used to do that and finally changed it to a year membership from the date you joined, not the calendar year, which is equitable.

Do you have any knowledge as to how they will do that. I did call, got a voice mail, but don't want to leave my number at this point. Thanks.

So I drove by the this range today and it looks promising but it still needs quite a bit of work .....looks to be several weeks/months of work left.......also its in a very"ruff"area with no real distinguishable road to enter, witch is no real problem if you have a vehicle with some clearance ...all in all it looks promising

According to there website they plan to open by March 2014.
$300 annual membership (includes family and guests but only one person shoots at a time) and you have to be a NRA Member.

It may be do-able. I got to have a look round and met one of the guys. They definitely have the right idea and are practical about it - in particular in terms of safety. Looks great, can't wait!

March or not, it's the real deal and another month or two would hardly be the end of the world.

Clearance isn't a problem for vehicles on the road unless it's lowered beyond factory sporty, maybe one problem spot if it's only just rained... but you know, Perris and it's a real maybe.

Tagged. I'll definitely be shooting there. Plan to drive by when I have a chance, but anyone know what the plans are for a rifle range and the distances they'll have?

Thanks. I had my fingers crossed for a long distance range, but 100 yards will work for load development.

Anyone friendly with the owners of this range? I recently sent them a lengthy email explaining how i would like to resume my marksmanship class at their facility. I explained in detail about how I had been offering a free marksmanship class here on calguns (which was a huge success) for new and struggling marksman. I explained that the class was a success and that it ultimately had to be shut down due to abuse. I went on to explain how id like to resume my class at their facility. I explained that my class would surely help generate interest and membership at their facility. I never got a response. I resent the email and sent it via their facebook page also. Never got a response. Not even a "not interested". So if anyone has direct communication with these people perhaps you can ask them if they are interested in someone volunteering their time to help the new, young and struggling marksman. Id like to know if this is benieth them or not.

Does it look like there's room for long range in the future. After reading the post above, I'm not to sure about this place. For the calgunner's that live close, please keep us updated.

Thanks

Poor service will equal a failed business. There are alot of legal areas to shoot very close to where that range is. Without paying $300 a year
