anyone have good way to remove?... it's one of the bottom screws, close to base, so I cant notch it and get a flathead screwdriver in there... I'm reluctant to drill it out, in fear of ruining the mount or scope...
I will probably try and find an easy-out the right size, but figured I'd check here to see if anyone had simple solution... |

allen - no bite with anything now though - i tried using torx (actually star) to get some teeth it it - but it's too far gone...
I'll pick up an easy out next week I guess - I don't think there's much else to do. |

I called them to ask if I could buy a couple extra screws for this stripped mount and they offered to extract it for me... but since the scope is mounted, I didn't want to deal with shipping it and insuring and crap - so they mailed a few extra screws... Yes, ADM has great customer service for sure - and I really like their mounts too (I use a few). |

I've been successful by tapping in an oversize Torx or hex bit.

I just picked up an extractor today - I just hope I can get a pilot hole and seat the extractor far enough without marring the ring. |

the hardware store had screw extractors which are basically a left hand drill bit with extractor built in. Looked kinda slick.
