Default ADM Mount Stripped Screw (head)

anyone have good way to remove?... it's one of the bottom screws, close to base, so I cant notch it and get a flathead screwdriver in there... I'm reluctant to drill it out, in fear of ruining the mount or scope...

I will probably try and find an easy-out the right size, but figured I'd check here to see if anyone had simple solution...

I'll pick up an easy out next week I guess - I don't think there's much else to do.

for sure they do! a couple years ago I had their swing mount and the spring for the clamp fell out - sent it in, and they replaced & returned with a few extra springs (and a shirt!)

I called them to ask if I could buy a couple extra screws for this stripped mount and they offered to extract it for me... but since the scope is mounted, I didn't want to deal with shipping it and insuring and crap - so they mailed a few extra screws...

Yes, ADM has great customer service for sure - and I really like their mounts too (I use a few).

I've been successful by tapping in an oversize Torx or hex bit.

I tried - usually works on moderately stripped heads - wouldn't bite on this one...

I just picked up an extractor today - I just hope I can get a pilot hole and seat the extractor far enough without marring the ring.

the hardware store had screw extractors which are basically a left hand drill bit with extractor built in. Looked kinda slick.

Why'd you do that? Get a torque gauge.

If you mean a torque wrench, I have several... That wasn't the issue.
