Default Are there any GOOD gun shops in the Antelope Valley?

Hi, all. New here.

Does anyone know of any good gun shops in the Antelope Valley (Lancaster / Palmdale / Mojave) area?

I've been to a few local gun stores and frankly, I am unimpressed with the stores I have visited.

I just happened to be in a particular town, and walked in and asked about a rifle I've been wanting. They had it in stock, but at $300+ more than MSRP. Really? I can pick up the same rifle in LA for $400-500 less.

I prefer to support good local gun shops, but the AV seems high and dry. So far it's been arrogant/rude/indifferent owners. Obviously, I haven't been to them all.

I don't mind paying a FAIR price, fair to me, fair to the owner/store. I haven't seen that yet, so I am asking the question.

Hi Desert Sporting Arms in Palmdale or Rick's Pawn in Lancaster are good. The Gun Shop in Lancaster is hit and miss. Stay away from Santa Fe in Palmdale that guy is horrible.....

Thanks. Hi Desert is only a couple of miles down the road from where I work. I didn't realize this until I looked at a map. I will definitely be stopping by to check them out.

Ref: Santa Fe.....agreed.

Check out Karl's Hardware in Rosamond. IIRC the gun shop is closed on Mondays. Ammo and reloading supplies are available everyday. Nice folks.
