Default Just got another Aimpoint T1 in a Larue Mount

LaRue Tactical has excellent discount pricing on their Aimpoint T1 and Larue Mount combo in their optics section. It actually came out cheaper than I could get that mount from them and the Aimpoint T1 at wholesale from my supplier. So I bit the bullet and bought it.

As always, LaRue piled on the freebies. Got dry rub, a hat, a DVD video, two bumper stickers, a dillo bottle opener, and three copies of the US Constitution.

Just got the thing. Will post pictures once I get it home and mounted and have some decent light. My iPhone 4S camera sucks in low light.

Like the title suggests, I've owned this exact setup before and like it a lot. The only downside to it is that the field of use for the red dot is limited in how far and angle you can still use the sight because the glass is physically so small compared to the EoTechs which can be used at just about any angle. But that is pretty minor. The major benefit is how light weight it is and how reliable it is. Larue mounts are of course top notch. It is a light weight, throw lever type solution that can be easily removed as needed without being flimsy and locks in place and won't budget until you decide it needs to come off. I have the Tall mount that co-witnesses in the lower 1/3.

Digging my new range hat. Love the site. Thanks LaRue.

Congrats. Which mount did you end up getting? I'm assuming the LT660 for lower 1/3 cowitness? I'm planning to swap all my LT660 mounts for the LT660HK low mounts since I prefer absolute cowitness with the T1.

I prefer the lower 1/3 cowitness setup so that is what I got. I'm not a fan of absolute cowitness.

Looking forward to the pics!

Assuming this is going on the Colt?

Haven't totally decided. For now yes. Probably end up putting an Aimpoint T-1 on both my M4s. Might go with an H-1 on the backup M4 or might even go with an EoTech EXPS on that one.

Then eventually start on an SPR. Atleast that is the current plan. Got the lower, lower parts kit, and the Chip McCormick match grade trigger.

Need to get the credit cards paid off/down first. Gotta keep that credit rating in the mid 700s. Can't get too spend happy of they'll never lend me the money for a house.

Now ditch the cheap Aimpoint bikini cover that came with your Micro T-1 and get one of these.

cover?!? these optics dont need covers! whats the point of leaving them on so they're ready for use if you have to pull the cover off of them!

i do like those like those tangodown covers way better than the factory ones though... but in the end i'd always run my micros naked...

Hahaha, I know what you mean but since I'm not LEO or military I like protecting my optics when I can, using the cover when transporting, stored in the safe along with my other rifles, and on the fine red dirt trails I ride. Without having to take the cover off every time, just snap both end caps together, they're completely out of the way, the scope's ready to use, and you got that naked G2G feel.

Just picked one up last week. Mounted it 45* off my Leupold mk6 3-18x today. Pretty awesome!

I got a good deal on a 4moa version, I probably couldnt tell the difference between the 2 and 4moa version anyways.

They also have one that is absolute co-witness not HK. It might be slightly lighter than the HK version. http://www.laruetactical.com/larue-t...nt-micro-mount

On certain rifles I like absolute co-witness since I always run Troy sights I can use sights or not. With fixed sights absolute bugs me. JMHO.
