Another Placer County timeline question
For those that have gone in and signed / thumb printed their ccw, how long did you wait for them to mail it to you? This question is for those that had their livescan done by another party... not pcso livescan people.
To save time I had my livescan done at Roseville PD (since pcso is scheduled so far out).... but I don't think it saved any time.
I waited just under 7 weeks from when my livescan was done until I got the email to come in and sign / thumb-print the document. The email said that I was scheduled to come in the following week to do it... So I go in when I am scheduled to go in (almost 8 weeks now from livescan), sign the documents, thumb-print everything and date it... Then I am handed an envelope and told to self address it and they will mail me my ccw after the sheriff signs it! I now have been waiting a week since my ccw was approved, signed, dated and thumb-printed.... and I still don't have it in my hands.
One would think that since they know ahead of time who is scheduled to come in, that they could have them pre-signed by the sheriff and let you leave with your ccw.... but I guess that would make too much sense. Or just stamp them like other agencies.
Anyone out there able to shed some light on this last bit of delay from the county?
