hahaha I've bought many guns at Turners pre-panic, and that mirrors my experience. I fall asleep standing up in that place it takes so long, every time. And yet I return, like an addict!

Great catch on that mossy combo, I may have to get it , just cuz!

seriously? There is nothing in my inbox or junkmail. Wondering what I have to check. (I doubt Gmail would delete it without me knowing?)

Thanks OP. Just put one Mossberg in jail. Was the only customer at the rifle section late in the afternoon. Quick and painless transaction.

The Ruger 10/22 Rimfire Carbine, Big 5 #4334561, is listed for $329.99 new, $259.00 on sale. Turner's has the same rifle on sale for $249.98 (#1256).

Nope, SoCal store. I picked up the black one with the synthetic stock and stainless steel barrell. It was only $10 than the mentioned turners price and took advantage of putting multiples items on one dros.

Apologies, I should have mentioned that that Turner's is SoCal only when posting. Sorry for the confusion.

This is from the Turner's Website FAQ but still applys to your situation...

Is there a limit to the number of firearms that a person can purchase at one time?

California law limits the purchase of handguns to no more than one handgun transferred from a dealer to an individual within any 30-day period. Note- Firearms transferred between individuals, that are transacted through dealers, (known as Private Party Transfers), are exempt from the one-handgun-a-month restriction.

California law does not limit the number of long guns (rifles or shotguns) purchased by one person or within any specific time period.

Yes, you would pay only one DROS. Multiple DROS applications are for private party handguns. Not sure what the DROS fee is at BIG 5 today, but it was $25 around this time last year.

I am surprised there isn't something like a Turner's up north. Less demand for firearms and fishing gear?

At times I wished I still lived in SoCal, primarily the days the turner ads are released. But there are similar type stores but I don't think the prices are too similar.

My bro picked up the Mossberg Security model, his first shotty. The store wouldn't accept the additional 10% off coupon, but still a great deal nonetheless. Thanks op.

I went to the Big 5 in Vacaville this evening and bought two of the Stevens 320. The sales rep was triping out on the coupons I printed out from here in this thread but he honored them as he should. It plainly says already on sale items recieve 10% off lol. And Yes the dros was 25.00 as someone mentioned here. So I got out the door for 413.33 for two of them and im half way done with my Christmas shopping.. Thanks for posting this great deal

I went on tues looking for a 10/22. They were out but said they would get 3 of each on wed. I held the GSG 522 and I did not feel it was work 100 more than ruger, felt like an airsoft. I went back today for the 10/22. They did not get the wood stock one but had the black stock/stainless barrel. I put it in jail, came to 303 with tax and DROS.

The kid at the counter said I could use the other 20% off firearms coupon, but when he looked at it he said I could not stack coupons.

These $279 regular price there? Newer big 5 thread has 20% off coupon on firearms, that's $54 off plus tax($22) and dros(think $25). Maybe this one cheaper for you

the 10/22 they had was the stainless with black stock, regular price 329. so the 3 day sale was slightly cheaper than the 20% off.

My went and bought the 10/22 stainless barrel. It came out to 303 otd. They wouldn't give her the extra 10% off. The employee at big 5 told her to call corporate to get the discount.

I guess it depends on the big5 you go to, I didn't have any problems getting 10% off on the mossberg. I didn't see any 10/22 Rugers at my big5 or else I would of probably picked that up too.

On the 10% off sale items, the fine print states one coupon. It's a opportunity for extreme couponing on firearms. I did find that depending on the big5 stores management they can override and accept double coupons unfortunately my local big5 was not one of the "lenient" ones. All in all I still got a decent deal.

According the OP, the prices are for E-Team subscribers which require the coupon code, not everyone is entitled to that pricing. I had to surrender my printout during the purchase but then again it depends on the discretion of the local big5 management.
