I highly recommend heavy duty bags and leather gloves. Tons of glass and shotgun shells. No sandals either.

You should be fine, lots of small cars go up there and it's only about 70 yds from the paved road. What kind of car?

It'll probably make it or if you wanna wait on the bottom of the trail one of us would gladly take you up the rest of the way. I would hate for something to happen to your car. Plus it'll free up spots on the "range" for trucks that will be hauling stuff away. I hope you can make it.

How did the cleanup go? Anyone? I go here when I am in town visiting my family. I couldn't make it the weekend of the cleanup but I will do my part and take away extra this coming labor day weekend. Anyone else headed up Saturday or Sunday this weekend?

My name is Brian, I live in Fresno. I was unaware of this range and I would like to shoot there and help in any future clean ups. I have a 10/22 that I need to sight in and a Mossberg 500 I'd like to shoot.

I was there last weekend, it was TERRIBLE.

Looked like someone backed up a dump truck.

My buddy and I will be taking cleanup stuff next time we go.

Don't forget that EVERY range trip is a clean-up. I never leave without more than I brought. I only took out 1 trash can full last time, but I couldn't fit much more in our car. Next time I'm taking my truck and a tarp- my bed will be the trash can.

I was up there today and the area looked great! It is the first time in about 6 months but it appears to have been cleaned recently. Thanks to whoever contributed to the effort and let's keep it that way.

Wow, you guys are lucky up there. My in laws live in Coarsegold, we go up to Bass Lake all of the time but have never shot up there. Our local Los Padres NF has been closed for fire danger since May, nice you guys can still shoot up there.

It's a LOT cleaner than it used to be. For a few months I was out there it hadn't changed much, stuff everywhere. But last time I went out it was practically spotless. Wonder who cleaned it.
