It is optimized at 100 yards. At 1X there is very little shift. You loose a clear sight picture long before you are shifting enough to make you miss at 1x. Similar quality scope to the 4-14X butt a 1-6X is harder to make so clarity is not as good.

Perfect! I looked the other day after finding this thread and you showed out of stock. On my 10 day wait to pick up a new Colt LE6920 5.56. Have no experience with rifles, but this looks like a great upgrade for the iron sights that doesn't break the bank.

I have a PCL on order... thinking of getting one of these too...

With PA crazy fast shipping, I might just cancel the PCL (but hard not to just have both)

The Bushnell PCL looks like a great scope but the reticle lacks. For one there are no wind markings. Anyone that shoots past 200 knows wind is the hardest part. The ACSS has a 5mph wind mark that can be cut in half or doubled depending on wind conditions. I have been testing the ACSS for almost 3 years now and have never held dead center past 300 there is always some kind of wind. Further more the PCL lacks ranging yeah it can range a target standing there directly at you waiting to be ranged but as soon as the target changes angle the ranging goes out the window. The ACSS has vertical ranging allowing for far more accurate ranging in all vertical angles and while moving. You have to go back to the old Russian SVD/PSO reticle to todays ACSS to understand just how advanced it is.PCL also lacks leads in live situations people move and while holding a weapon its 8.6 mph to be exact! The ACSS shows proper leads and not leaving you guessing. There are reticles designed by engineers the ACSS in designed by me a shooter/reloader ballistic weirdo first engineer second. I have OCD/tested and tested this and developed it from input from friends that are USMC with multiple tours, snipers instructors, LE, you name it getting their opinion and what is needed not to mention my life time of shooting. The result is the ACSS a reticle that is very fast up close or CQB using the illuminated horseshoe at 1-3x and very accurate further out at 6x utilizing accurate ranging,BDC and proper wind holds.

ACSS

PCL

We have posted and posted results again and again. Our demo video speaks for its self. From a man in his 70's to a 9 years old shooting 400 yards to me shooting 700 yards with live footage not some computer generated reticle added on after shots are made. We are using a standard 16" DD upper and M193ball.

Demo video.

Dimitri, how/why did you choose 8.6 mph for the lead dots? Is that the average speed of bad guy running for cover? Average speed of VW terrorist transporter with one tire shot out? Average speed of Coyotes?

Correct!

8.6 avg speed of a target sprinting holding a weapon.

Dimitri, may I suggest that your company include on the web page for this scope (and other products) the product codes for the various options that can be added to the scope? It would make it much more clear as to which exact items are being added. For example, there is an option to add a GG&G FLT Accucam Scope Mount w/ 30mm Rings, but it's not clear if that's product GGG-1383 or GGG-1547.

ETA: It appears the GG&G and American Defense scope mounts are no longer being offered as discounted options with this scope.

Also, does Primary Arms have any plans to release your own deluxe mount with QD levers?

Can you make a video of the glass clarity and and also what the glass looks like under different ranges of zoom? I have bought some scopes and when you get to 5-6x the picture gets pretty fuzzy because of poor glass.

I have done that. I assume you notify us when it's available for purchase? I called this morning and after hearing the long message about no backorders, etc. I hung up, as the website still shows unavailable.

theres a post somewhere saying they are still in QC phase. idk if that's 1/2 a day's work or a full day's. hopefully it goes up at some point in time where i can place an order. would suck having to wait for the 2nd shipment.

id assume it would be at a decent evening time if its today so most people have a shot at grabbing one. that or early morning.

Dimitri, would the extended scope base be the one to get if you plan on mounting the scope to an AR platform?

It depends on if you shoot NTCH or not.

what is "NTCH"?

I plan on mounting this on my Colt LE 6920 5.56/.223 (1:7 twist). The rifle has an A2 fixed front sight on it. Will the deluxe PA mount work? I plan on bench shooting and 3Gun'in with it.

The mount you order depends on where you stick your face pie, you want to be able to use both eyes open and have a clear sight picture and not the scope body blocking your view.

10CST the 1-6 goes live!!

what is your recommendation for a guy new to rifles that's never fired it yet? Which is the most common? I want to order the optics and mount, no experience shooting a rifle. Rifle is still on the 10 day wait.

The email goes out as soon as we update the inventory but sometime the receiving servers delay. We are still a go for 10CST. As soon as you see it as in stock jump on it.

With a true monolithic rail that is correct. If you just have a free float I would still go with the extended
