Ive been around firearms for some time now but have had too much seat time with ar's I'm currently building two. one for myself and one for my girlfriend.
We would like to take a few training courses on how to use them effectively. Mainly for her but id like to learn new things. What are your recommendations. We live in the San Diego area and wouldnt mind driving to Orange County or even the Temecula area. |

I highly recommend John Harrington and Shield Tactical (http://www.shieldtactical.com/). John is a former LEO. He has no time for BS. His classes are down and dirty. You will walk away knowing more than you did before, and you may be a little sore afterwards. He tells it like it is and makes you work during his classes. John walks the talk, too. He is not just some NRA-certified instructor telling you about what may happen during a gunfight. John's been in gunfights. He's had more than his fair share of violent encounters over the years; so, John knows what he's talking about. I went to him after having already been a USMC infantry scout, OIF combat veteran, and security contractor. I thought that I had been there and done that. Well, John still taught me a thing or two; and, I was glad of the experience. Give Shield Tactical a call. You'll be happy that you did. I hope this recommendation helps. Cheers! --1911ShooterPhil
