Default Yolo Sportsman Association NRA/CMP Match 07/13/2013

Yolo Sportsman Association CMP Match
24189 Aviation Avenue, Davis, California 95616

This match is a lot of fun and in a laid back atmosphere. This is a great way to get introduced to the high-power rifle hobby. John Ryan puts the course on and he is a really great person to learn from and run this program. Come on out and have a blast.

Yes the bullet button works for this event just fine I use one myself and have no issues with magazine changes.

Enfields, M1 Garands, M1As, M1 Carbines, AR-15s, Ruger mini-14s, Remington 740, 742, 760, etc. Bolt Action and Lever Action acceptable. The rifle must be a rifle shooting a rifle cartridge. You must reload during the rapid fire courses.

AWARDS:

This match is for fun, experience and qualification.
Certificate of Achievement will be given to ALL shooters.

Those who have done this event chime in and let everyone know how much fun it is. Feel free to post pics of those Garands that you have gotten from CMP also!!!!!!!!!

Is there a fee for this event? If so, how much? What about an age limit? Can I bring my 9 year old son and let him compete as well?

Yes $20 per shooter. Age would be more on the safety side of the age limit?

He's a safe shooter. I take him to Sac Valley and he's been complemented on his safety over the loudspeaker. I guess he may still be a little young for competitive shooting though, now that I really think about it. Sounds like a fun event. Maybe we'll come when he's a little older.

Dont not bring him because of me. This is a really laid back shoot and they have had some young shooters there before. I dont think they were 9 but you can give it a try or at least bring him out to watch how it goes.

D@#*, I was out of town and didn't hear about this.

Do you plan on holding another one this year? I would definitely attend.
