Same site, without the referral...why do the OP's of these threads try to leave out the fact that they get some $$ when people follow their referral link? It's hardly a secret so why not mention it ouright? You're not trying to pass along a great deal...except for free ish for yourself.

That's for the buyer to decide, sharing a link about "awesome boots" which are generally factory seconds made in Vietnam and not mentioning "by the way, I get something for every person that follows my link" is a little underhanded(like a 1.5 out of 10 on the scale), not terribly so, but we know what the intent is...every single month.

Besides, this isn't a for sale thread so I'm free to interject my opinion.

If I have interest in a link like that, I will just copy it, then strip off the invite/?r=134428 referral part.

That was the Bates version. The Danner RATS are still sold on base, and highly sought after for their comfort and durability. However, they are heavy as *****.

I have a pair. To me they're actually not heavy at all compared to other boots of the same type.

EXACTLY! I bought a pair of those and a pair of Danners and there is no comparison. The Bates are OK but I am REALLY liking my Danners!

There are way too many haters on cal guns

I found out about the Danner Break room deal center from someone on Calguns

I have gotten 2 pairs of boots from the site.

As far a boots being made in Vietnam??????

Wow- lots of hate- maybe this should be a thread for deals on products only made 100% in the USA by unions!!!!

Stop into your local Galls- how many of the boots are manufactured and built in the US of A?

To the OP that originally posted about the hit the break room deal-
THANK YOU!

Maybe you could also update the 1st post so people know you refreshed an old thread for current deals?

There gortex so depends what kind of elements your hiking in. If its in a cold area with a lot of moisture then yea these would work. If its the desert, your feet are going to get a bit sweaty

I still have the pair I was issued. I do remember reading about/ hearing about a product recall on RAT boots from Danner later that year (2010). Dunno if it was just a bad lot or what. Issue was soles were seperating from boot after regular use (by regular use I mean grunts on deployment in Afghanistan). These boots were part of deployment issue gear back then. All that said, I know plenty of Marines who had no issues with theirs at all. And would use tham as hiking boots.

Posted A Huge Picture Of The DFA TACTICAL BOOTS On Twitter With The Amount OFF Next To Each One
Remember if you're signing up & click someone's invite that user gets $20 off
a pair of boots not money. That's why I clicked someone else's invite
just for that fact if I'm going to buy them why in the heck wouldn't I
want to help someone else out

Always Use The breaker10 CODE For $10 OFF Your First Purchase Then You're Saving Money Too

Danner® USMC RAT Temperate Military Boots only had sizes 3 and 5
Most of the 2nd quality boots didn't have a good size run

That's why I only posted The DFA TACTICAL BOOTS

I wear a regular 11 in Nike, New Balance, Adidas, etc., but I've found that 10W works best for me in Danners. YMMV though....
